Politicians did not call it a skirmish, they called it 'The Falklands War', with great respect to you, your war record has nothing to do with this subject, it was a war to liberate the Falklands from an invading force.

I have a very good friend from college who is a DEA agent. Mind you he is out in the field and has served in Columbian jungles and Mexico. He says that there are people within his organization who are vets who are offended by the terms “war on drugs” as they do not see enforcing drug laws as a war. My point is that this has devolved into semantics. Is murder manslaughter and vice versa? Either way someone is dead. Wars, battles, skirmishes, conflicts, fights, skirmishes, confrontations, clashes etc., in the end it all boils down to groups of people fighting, killing and dying.
