I was looking at my Toy Soldier Empire last night (a couple of cabinets bought at WalMart and IKEA) and remembering the first figure bought -The French soldier reaching down for his headgear, but still looking forward.
After 4 years, it is probally still one of my favorite figures in the Napoleonic range.
Who else remembers that first toy soldier, K&C or otherwise ?

My first toy soldier set was the Britains Bren Gun Team, which I think is still the best WW II item they've done. After that, my first K & C purchase was EA 01, Scottish Patrol.

Hopefully I am not overstaying my welcome with all the photos, but I finally figured out a couple weeks ago how to get my old camera working on the computer properly and how to resize photos to post here.
Here are a couple more :

Footman it's nice seeing for a change the photos being posted by the K&C collectors of their figures along with their dioramas. It sure beats alot of the commentaries that have made their appearance and by no means are you overstaying your welcome......The Lt.

That is a great looking figure!

My favorite figures are the Samurai.

My favorite vehicle the King & Country M113

That is a great Veitnam scene. Are the Samuri AeroArt/St. Petersburg ?
Mike

Hi Mike, yes they are. I usually pick up a few every year at the show here

in Atlanta. Over the years I have put together a nice group.

Heres another shot of King & Countries Firebase with the Figarti RPB.

And another shot of the Samurai.

Thank you, I do enjoy them.

I don't know why some of the majors haven't released them. Of course East

of India has a series, and they are very nice.

The Russian pieces are superb.

That is a great Veitnam display, especially the boat and bison(water buffalo?) The display looks like it came out of Apocalypse Now, hopefully the bison will get out of there before he ends up like his buddy at the end of the movie.
Those Russian Samurai are awesome. I bought 5 Samurai on ebay about a year ago. They were Del Prado figures released only in Japan at the time, but are now available through many distributors. Like many Del Prado releases, some have terrific paint jobs, some-not so great. TedToys has glossy Samurai by Monarch which are great, here are a couple of pictures :

Wow! Footman thats a nice figure. To bad I started collecting K&C a little late I would have loved to get some of those figures. I have see some around at a shop but not close to me.

Hello,
That figure only cost $19.00 when new. The flag bearer and drummer were a little bit more. Man, I wish I would have bought more, I think I got them right before they were retired.
Mike

Very nice looking figure and your photographs are exceptional. They really show off all the attributes of this figure.

The Firebase is one of the best dios I have ever seen. I wish I had been a collector when it came out, it is fantastic.

That's a holy grail for this guy!

Thank You Tom:

It is really a great piece, and I enjoy it every day! I also enjoy Andy's

SS Headquarters which he personally built for the release of the 1st Arnhem

Series. Here are a couple of shots of that piece.

Collecting, finding, and preserving, wonderful items is almost as much fun as

being able to share them with other people with similar interests!

I'm also including a shot of some of Andy's early Backlot Buildings each of

which has two different sides allowing you to make many different scenes.

Wonderful items to hunt for!

My first toy soldiers were Crescent British WW2. My big brother bought them when I was about three. Rather crude true but I didn't think so at the time!
