Hi, I have been visiting this site for the past 2 years and finally decided to join in.

I have been collecting K&C for the past seven years. My first set was the complete set of Arnhem figures and sold them about 2 years ago. It was very hard to part with. Although, it helped a great deal with adding alot more K&C items. Looking forward to the Arnhem series this year. I will be getting them all.

I now only collect K&C. I collect WWII (Bulge, Waffen SS, D-Day (U.S. Airborne only), LAH, and a few Africa Corp).

Welcome Halo.

My first K&C sets were from AK range and if some of them are still in my possession, I have actually discussions to sell them.

I have no regrets.

Welcome Halo. My first one was EA 01, Scottish Patrol, and no, I don't see myself parting with it.

I had wanted to see K&C since I first saw one of their ads in Military Modeling (an English magazine). I got the chance at Toy Soldiers of Charleston and the first item of K&C that I bought was the KO'd StuG III diorama piece. I was originally meant to dress up a scene of Conte US paratroopers, but now I want to use it with K&C airborne troops, so yes, I still have it stashed away.

My first set was actualy individual figures from the American Revolution War - K&C 1776 - bought back in 2000 - they were British Fusiliers, American NY Reg and Britch Lincs. - all great stuff.

I didn't have a first K&C set instead it was six: DD01, DD02, DD04, WS12, WS17 and WS18. These were my first order of K&C which I got in 2000 after day dreaming about them since 1998. I decided to take the plunge and when I received them I was a little disappointed. They didn't match my only metal set that I owned which was a Britains MG42 set. I said oh well I'll stick with my 1/35 stuff because its consistent and didn't buy any metal soldiers until three years later.

mine was the ltd stug which I sold ,The tommy patrol got
me collecting K and C [still have that one]

Welcome to the forum Halo.My first set was the 3rd inf patrol,i've kept them and don't think i'd part with them.

Patton Command Car was my first.....was searching online for Patton Info and came across the K&C website.....found Bill Moore who lived close to me and he invited me out to his home....I was amazed at all of the stuff availible. I only bought the Patton set that day but within a week I was calling Bill back. I'd never sell it.....

My first K&C figures were British Fusiliers and Artillery set from the American War of Independence range, sold these when K&C brought out their Napoleonics.

Cheers Forum Squadron Members:

My first K&C acquisition was the RAF "First Of The Few" set back in 1990-1991 I believe from the Old Toy Soldier Home in San Diego/Vista when I was living there. I still have it of course & have recently purchased two more to add to my Squadron! I will NEVER sell it!

Happy K&C Hunting,
Beaufighter

My first set was from the old Alamo range and was the William Travis figure. Although the current Alamo range is superiorI would not part with it on sentimental grounds.

Welcome aboard Halo,

My first set (purchased in 1993) was the mounted Teddy Roosevelt with marching dismouted Rough Riders, from Joan Smith of Kings X. I never sell any of my K&C (although I have been known to give away or trade duplicate sets).

First two sets were an E-bay auction October 13 2002 purchased from dmij6@aol.com Southern California. Bren Gun Carrier MIB AN015 starting bid $79.00, ending bid $89.00, 3 bid total. Next item same seller MIB AN016 Dailmer Armored Car, starting bid $79.00, ending bid $80.00 2 bid total. Those days are long gone and I would trade, but it would be for alot of money. Glad tristar wasn't around at that time. If someone recognizes the sellers ID tell them thanks!!!!:)

Back before the present craze started you could get amazing deals on old K&C on Ebay. I actually bought 3 wood and metal vehicles (original China wood tiger, wood Bren Gun Carrier and wood Stug III) on ebay between 2000 and 2003 for less than original retail!
