Hi Ron
No I,m not taking a new job
I,m a plumber and gasfitter here [run my own buisness ,or should I
say it runs me  ] but my understanding is I wont be qualified in the
US to do that. As it will only be a working holiday for us I,ll do whatever is
available ,plumb /drive trucks shine shoes you name it.
My wife works as a buisness analyst so her work prospects would be
better than mine [barring being pregnant]

Did you see my earlier post on NZ MP David Cunliffe - do you know him??

Hi Ron
No I dont know him,I just know that he works for our manly prime minister.

I purchased the Yank sets back in 1999. That was my first foray back into toy soldiers since 1979. Had an audit client who happened to be located near a toy soldier shop. Went inside one day and the rest is history.

Funny thing was, I used to get an expense stipend when I would stay out of town. I spent very little on food, had to buy beer and saved the rest to pick up a new set each Friday. Ahh, those were the good days.

STANDS ALONE!!!

Chris,

If you started collecting back in 1999, you must have a heck of a collection. Do you have any of the old War Birds?

Ahhh- my error- (I am a PFC, I am allowed those time and again:D )- I actually started in early 2000. I have never seen any of the warbirds outside of photos.

I am a military history fan, so I collect all sorts of stuff- I buy KC WW2, East of India ancients and samurai, St. Pete Medieval and Roman figs.

My collection was pretty impressive- I sold nearly a dozen pieces back in 04. Most of my favorites went then. WHat I do still have, 85% of it is retired already. I still love my collection, but with collecting such a broad base, I am not as focused in KC as most KC collectors are.
