This is probably not the right place for this so if Pete, Dave or Scott think it should be moved, please go ahead :)

Anyway I received my Figarti Russian tank (and what an impressive AFV it is) and my first three First Legion WW II soldiers. I was equally impressed by these figures. I am not as good as others as providing reviews -- and I am not being scarcastic, but truthful -- but these are very nice indeed. Packaging was excellent and they came through in flying colors.

I've snapped a couple of photos with my Blackberry, not the greatest, but what can you do on short notice? Now, I'm not one who gets all hexed up about scale distinctions (I will leave that to others) but they don't look terrible when paired with the tank. Regardless, they're still very good :)

Congratulations on your fine purchases ;) IMO Figarti are producing the best Russian armor available on the market to date and are a perfect complement to First Legions fine figures . Thanks for sharing . All the best Gebhard

I think you have settled the debate about FL Russians and Figarti Russian armour. Note the position of the shoulder of the Russian soldier throwing a granade as compared to the deck of the tank. Even allowing for the thickness of the base of the soldier and taking into account his bent knees, compare this to the photo of several Russian soldiers of varying heights standing in front of their JSU-152.

IMO, The FL soldier is not dwarfed by the JSU, but goes very well with it.

Re: More Pics of new Militia

Thank you all for your comments.

I can post some other photos in the next day or so to further show the Russian soldier standing against the tank.

Brad, have you collected any of the Stalingard German Soldiers?? They are excellent....especially the pioneer combat 4 figure set.....I'm stiil not sold on using FL soviets with Figarti Russian Tanks ( PS Figarti AFV's are excellent)....to me they look a little small against my JS-2......(Sorry Terry but I don't agree with you as I have them both in the flesh and to my eye they don't mix well in size or style....but to each there own).......I have just purchased the FL soviet anti-tank gun with 4 man crew....VERY WELL DONE...I'm looking forward to the FL T-34 Tank which I'm sure First Legion will soon produce....Also Winter Stalingrad has started....It's a great line up on the horizon....Enjoy the detail and realism....Best Regards Frank

Terry, I respectfully disgaree....I have the Figarti JS-2 and many First Legion Soviet Soldiers...I have them in the flesh....do you??......And the soldiers are indeed dwarfed by the Figarti Tank....I have made a commitment to collecting the FL Stalingrad Line and I am very particular as to what "goes in this diorama".......Style is different , Size differential is non-acceptable to my eye......Figarti AFV's go better with K/C soldiers IMO.....I will try to find the time to post some pictures to better support my view....Best regards and with respect... Congratulations Brad! They really appear to work very well togther. Thanks for the posting the pics; it's very helpful:).

Here are some better photos, from some different angles. From a photographic point of view, I think the first one with the flash came out the best. The others I didn't use the flash. Please forgive the mess in the background.

Frank V. may disagree ;) but I do think they work well together, particularly when viewed in light of Terry's photo. This was obviously a massive tank and the use of the First Legion figure highlights this, at least in my opinion.

Regarding the figures and the tank, I think they're exceptional. I probably won't buy any more until Chicago but I will probably get a few from George then. The Figarti tank, like many models, looks even better in person.

Brad, I seem to be unable to attach my computer file images to this correspondence due to size...Any advise??...Thank you Frank

Frank,

You have to shrink them to meet the board's software. If you're still having trouble, send them to me at blewin2222@aol.com and I will post them.

The best way is to use a free on-line program like Photobucket. The photos reside on their site (as well as on your computer) and have a link from the post to each photo on the Photobucket site.

Or you could shrink the photo to less than 97k and less than 800 x 600.

If you want, sign up with photobucket and I can tell you how to upload and link - it is very easy.

Or as a third option, you could just accept that Jazzeum and I are right :D:D

Terry, Is photobucket the best way....how do I sign up?.. free of charge?

FWIW Frank, I hope you choose Terry's recommendation for Photobucket. The photos posted directly here are often so small to conform to the size limits that any meaningful detail is lost.
