FIW French Command (1 Viewer)

As promised………. The face and hands will be next which always makes the figures look that much better.

Jeff

The basic flesh painted - mixed using buff and a little red, then a bit more red mixed in for the mouth.

Wonderful,
I like the way you mix the skin color.
It is much, much better compared to the original Tradition painted figures.
Konrad

We are nearly there now, just the shiny bits in silver and gold and of course the bases

Perfect Jeff, absolutely splendid.
I love this set.
It will only be a journey of a couple 1000 miles for them  to meet with their Indian friend ;)
Thank you very much for this addition to my collection.

Thanks Simon, These are very good figures to paint and as usual look better full size in the hand - so to speak.

All I will say is that it going to make Simon want to eat his new avatars beret! :D:D:D:D

These are really impressive. I really admire your clean paint work. Someday I would like to have a go with the French.

They came in today, Jeff,
and what can I say? Although they do look perfectly done on the pictures here on this thread, they do look even better when holding them in the hand.
No kidding.
I would think that I did see many glossy figures (definetely all the major manufacturers, like Britains, Beau Geste, Little Legion, Trophy, Marlborough, Imperial, ...) throughout the last 8 years, since being interested in the Toy Soldier Hobby and I can honestly say, there are no better painted traditional style toy soldiers out there available than the ones done by you.
That, of course, is my personal opinion, but I am sure if other people could see them eye to eye they would agree.
Many thanks for another job very, very well done.
Konrad
