Guys...

This was delivered today and put into a temporary dio until the main one for it is done.

I have to say, that many said it was very expensive with seperate figures etc and that detail looked poor but, the quality and size is amazing IMO. The figures are very large and heavy with brilliant detail and, very good winter camo painting. the gun itself, well.. its amazing well made and well coloured and very well detailed.
The art work on the box for those who like the full package is excellent and well presented. so, if your on the fence about this set I would definately say get it before its gone.

It is its 29cm long and 20cm wide!!!! but, its stunning and the crew are probably some of the best Bulge camo I have seen. You will not be dissapointed

I thought about this one...BUT.....Sorry Guys hate to disagree, I have already decided against this K/C Flak 41....I'll pass on this one..... I am considering purchasing a recent release 150cm German Howitzer with crew instead....Although it is also pricey the quality looks much better.....

Everyone seems to be doing add-on sets to keep down the cost of the AFV/Cannon - and collectors can add them later or not as they choose.

I already have a K&C 88 and both 3 man crew sets. I've seen them offered on ebay for $800 and some up for bids fetch $500 - $600, so for those that want a K&C 88, It's still cheaper than one of the old ones.

We (generally) just spoke about manufacturers pictures not doing the products justice and this is certainly the case here. I am quite critical of paint jobs detail etc but, have to say this is a very good release and is worth the payment should it interest you. I know your inclinations and the gun you speak about is very nice but, I am looking at another manufacturers gun which, is a very detailed version for a bit less.

I suppose its what your happy with at the end of the day but, this set was given a hard time due to price but, I just think its really worth the outlay.

Mitch, I understand what your saying but to be honest; it would take much better photos to convince me to purchase this one....The camoflage and paint on this one is really a "turn off"....I have seen 3 different sets of photos on this gun and my reaction is always the same....Don't like it....The colors seem "overly bright" and would need to be re-painted or toned down with weathering IMO

Very nice photos of the gun. I like the K&C figures for this gun but I prefer the upcoming 88mm make by Figarti as it has lot more details....Do we know if the Figarti 88mm come with figures ?

The tropical one, Did not have any. So, I have to assume this one will not either.

they have an a set of figures available as an add on set. They were on display at the Chicago Show. Don't know for sure when they will be available but thought they would be available about same time as 88mm was released or soon after...Ron

That 150cm howitzer, is mostly gray. Like everything else that manufacturer makes that is in the WWII range. how can you even judge between the two, when one is in camo and the other one is mostly grey. it is apples and oranges.
If they make camoulflage, it will look great. But until then, you can not judge between the two.

I will get one as soon as It gets released. I buy from most of the manufacturers.

This is a strange one for me. Part of me really likes it but part of me thinks it's not quite right. Maybe it just looks not wintery enough or something. The crew I like because the tan and water camo looks spot on.
Overall it's a bit of a grade B and for the price it needs to be A grade.
The Figarti winter88 from a year or so back has it beat hands down but there's still that K&C style about it that draws my eye.

Although you may not think so....I consider my judgement of quality to be pretty good: "thank you"....The Flak 41 photos does not impress me at all...The camoflage paint looks "overly bright" to me.......Unless I see some photos that prove otherwise count me out on this one....The Stalingrad Howitzer 150mm gun looks "incredibly detailed" and the paint/weathering is very realistic.....I will purchase that instead....a better buy in "my" judgement.....(I also think the Figarti 88mm camoflage flak gun appears to have a more realistic paint as well) it also beats the K/C gun...Hands Down IMO.....Best Regards and to each their own

It is a " Gray World" after all, I guess. When Paint and Weathering. That is gray
