Guys...

Having had a better look at this its a beast of a gun and, what I like is the fact that it comes of its support legs. This makes me think it can be placed into an open concrete bunker on a plinth type stand which the germans used quite effectively in defensive and AA positions.

Its a simple thing to build or, it may be something which K&C could look to add to its SP range to add to field diorama's.

Just a thought

Had high hopes for this gun initially. Unfortunately for me it is being supplied with a winter crew. Also, the cost of the gun and crewmembers totals $372, which is a hefty investment. Looks like I have to pass, waiting for the Normandy 88, still.;) -- Al

I'm thinking of the crew sets for ammo loaders for the Tiger!:)

My favorites are the Panhard Armoured Car, Corner Shop House and Leaping Lighthorseman.

The signs are a nice addition! SWEET!!!

I agree.... The Flak 41 comes with "only 1 figure":(....What is the breakdown of all the figures and the gun???.Gun with one figure $199 plus an additional $173 for figures......a bottom line of $372...Way too much for a complete set up....This seems to be the trend lately. Seems like a nickel and dime strategy... it's a bit disappointing

I too was looking fwd to this gun but not sure with the winter gunner. I have a 21st Centrury gun with KC crew I wanted to replace. What to do.............?

I am not surprised at all by the price. It was obvious that the crew would be broken up just by using the existing figure prices. Also I would rather have the crew broken up, that way you can buy them piece by piece. I also like jbonzo1's idea of using the crew with the new Tiger.

I agree that for many collectors this complete gun with crew is too expensive. It is certainly for me. Being retired since august at 65 years of age and receiving a pension that is less than half the amount I earned before, I have to be very careful what I do with my money. So no gun for me this time

Thing is we do not know as yet whether the aimer to this gun is static or removable. If its not fixed problem solved for those who do not want it as a winter gun. Perhaps someone at K&C can let us know
Mitch

Are the figure sets limited to the same numbers as the gun?

I don't believe there is a limit on the figures as there is on the gun or, would K&C have said?. But, they may go quite soon should the gun dissapear quickly as did that not happen with sets A and B of the 88mm gun previously released
