Flak (2 Viewers)

I received 5 flak guns today. All 5 broken. All their shields were off and that front-center piece on all 5 was off. The truck was in good shape. I can easily fix all pieces myself but I shouldnt have to. Very disappointed in the arrival condition to say the least. If they would have arrived intact I would have been very happy because when they are intact they look great. Before TG produces larger more expensive things like a Tiger or something else they really have to have their packaging problems fixed. Keith

I could not agree more. The flaks with crew can still be replaced the ones without are out of stock = money back
guy:)

Tom can send them all to me and I will fix them for him!!!!! should not happen but, its probably the minority of the numbers sent out.

What a shame. They are so unique and a great value. I saw several at the Chicago show which were broken too. It appears that the sets complete with the crew faired a little better.

Just recieved my 2 Flak Vierlings.....I held my breath and opened the boxes????.....2 perfect, undamaged guns!! After seeing how the guns
are packed i do not believe that TG could pack them any better..I believe it"s all down to the way the real guns were constructed, Scale this down to 1/30th and you get a very finely made and delicate model..I believe it is down to how the packages are handled during shipping, otherwise how can it be that some arrive perfect and others not?????....I also think TG as a company are very brave to release the Vierling
as other toy soldier companys have not dared too...(probabaly for this reason).....Anyway you look at it the Flak is a terrific release, thanks TG.....And i am looking forward to your Pak 40 and Nebelwerfer!!!!.

Tough luck Richard.....A real shame that there are no replacement Vierlings. They are as i mentioned excellent models but also quite fragile!!....I am sure that the team at TG will recompensate you fairly. If you dont have to return the broken models maybe i can make for you one reasonable gun from the 2 damaged ones?????.

Well still waiting for mine to show up ten days after being shipped

It's taking longer as the carriers have heard about the damage aspect, so they are being very careful and taking their time to ensure it gets to you in one piece. Mine arrives next week & I calculate the odds are 50/50, so I am already planning a diorama with destroyed Flak guns. Cheers, Robin.

Maybe TG should release some dead flak gun crew so you can place them around the destroyed flak guns!!!:wink2:

Well problem is they were posted Parcelforce48 so I'am waiting for my reply from Tom as this is not the first time I've had problems but would say that more down to Parcelforce than TG

Hey Kieth. I just got done the flak guns you left for repair. I'm kinda shocked that they are this busted up. I didn't have too much trouble fixing them but I'm pretty sure that any future value is non existant. Since the value is lost im gonna suggest we weather them a little better. I like the idea of having TG come out with a few dead crewman for these pieces. maybe a guy slumped over in the seat and one on the ground. if not ill just make them. these are gonna look good on the mountain. I read a few posts and see that people have received their flaks in perfect condition, i find this hard to believe. If its true then I highly suggest not trying to move a single part because it will be sure to fall off. Every single shield on all five were broken. 3 out of 5 targets snapped off. lol I wouldn't even use a feather duster on it if you got it in mint condition.

I think if you look to the first post it shows the flaks in perfect condition. Not sure how or why you would suggest ''if its true'' why would collectors lie about recieving something broken and say it was mint???? I have since recieved more and all have been in mint condition. Others also have stated they have recieved in mint condition and I know people who have also recived them in perfect condition.

They really are not as flimsy as you are making out and, I have not worried about raising or lowering the guns on any of mine nor, rotating the guns on the seperate stands. bit confused with your posts to your post but, It seems you are rightly miffed yours came damaged but, doubting others is not really appropriate response to your dissapointment.

Saying that its hard to believe does not mean I doubt the collector it means that the flak's that I received were so bad I couldnt believe others were in such great condition. Also my dealer contacted TG and the reason they gave him for the damaged pieces was the type of glue that was used on the flak's. Sorry if my post sounded like I didnt believe someone though.

Probably just my interpreting it differently to the way you meant. I can see though your frustration
Mitch

Got mine in the end only to find it has both sides of shield broken and no replacements

Was the problem due to the glue not being strong enough and parts coming off versus parts breaking off. ?

Yes the glue not being strong enough was the reason given. Still the target sights and seats broke at the weak parts. I have 6 total that I picked up at my dealers shop and everyone of them were broken. Most of them had all the shields, seats, and front part under the guns completely off. I chose to purchase them anyway because i knew i could repair them and for the price they arent going to around long. This will not stop me from purchasing TG in the future but i hope they learn from this. Keith
