Thank you again pat.

The more the merrier (your forum audience will be):)

Pat,

Some wonderful pieces. I enjoy seeing photos of what is a varied and interestng collection.

As an aside, since you and your wife couldn't make Chicago last year, it looks like you will owe her sets come September ;):)

Pat,
If you continue to show these beautiful, colorful GLOSSIES from Beau Geste, I fear you and Randy will have recruited another BG collector, even though there is no Zulu War period stuff from them that I know of:mad:. As always, your posts are informative and great to look at. Mike

Gentle Friends,

Most, but not all, of my Beau Geste collection is concerned with the wonderful line of the 1903 Delhi Durbar. The figures associated with this event are truly spectacular and endlessly colorful. They communicate great joy and festivity.

Among the most attractive and interesting figures are the Beau Geste Durbar Elephants. While I thought you might like to see one of mine, the truth is I am always excitied to show off my elephants! :D

Well, let us get on with it, shall we? Below you should see four pictures of Beau Geste Set #201, the Kashmir Elephant, Delhi Durbar, 1903. The contents of these three pictures are as follows:

1) A full view of the Kashmir Elephant including all the related figures.

2) A closer view of the elephant and his drapings.

3) A closer view of the elephant's drapery.

4) A view of the rear of the elephant.

I hope you enjoy viewing the Kashmir Elephant as much as I do.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Gentle Friends,

I thought it would be worthwhile to let you see a few closer views of the figures riding on the Kashmir Elephant.

Soon, I will post some more pictures of my Beau Geste collection. I hope you continue to enjoy seeing my pictures. Believe me, my pictures do not do justice to the beauty of these wonderful figures.

Till next time...

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Gentle Friends,

Ana and the Boyz frequently provide a detail that endears their sets to the owners. In the case of the French Foreign Legion Marching with Sombreros, the little dog quickly becomes the star of the set. The dog provides a warmth to the set that would otherwise be absent.

Posted below, you should see a view of the star of this show. I hope you enjoy him as much as I do.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

The dog makes it for me Pat. And then I saw the elephant.

While I thought you might like to see one of mine, the truth is I am always excitied to show off my elephants.

Pat,

Thanks for showing these, that is one fine example of glossy painting to say the least. I take it that you have more than one? ;)

Regards

Jeff

Another nice piece Pat.

I am not 100% sure but I believe the Britains elephant were resin, are the Beau Geste all metal???

Thanks again for your superb pictures of your collection.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your kind comments. I am glad you enjoy my pictures.

Yes, to the best of my knowledge, the Beau Geste Durbar Elephants are all metal. They are surprisingly heavy and, consequently, for a wide variety of reasons, you would not want to drop one on your foot!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Very nicely done close ups Pat and looking forward to more close ups of your figures from your vast collection. Thanks Pat for sharing them....The Lt.

Gentle Friends,

As there appears to be some interest in seeing more of my Beau Geste collection, I have chosen another set to show you. As most of you know, the majority of my Beau Geste figures belong to the Delhi Durbar range. So it is with this set.

Below you should find three pictures of Beau Geste Delhi Durbar Set #106, The Music Band Courtship. These three pictures display the entire set. I hope you enjoy viewing the band.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Gentle Friends,

The painting on these figures is exquisite as these closer views will demonstrate. The colors are bright and vibrant and the fine details of the clothing are expertly painted. It is certainly a set of which the owner can be very proud. And, I am. :)

I hope you enjoy the pictures. Let me know if you want to see more of this portion of my collection.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Nice pictures Pat> I always enjoy your collection of glossy figures. Thanks for posting. The new cabinet must be full by now.:) John

Pat,

Thanks for showing us another rather superb set from BG.

Jeff

Pat,
I love looking at your guys from BG. Even though I will desperately try to keep my collection limited to the obvious era, if BG had some more Victorian foreign service sets, I'd take the plunge in a heartbeat. I am enamored by the crisp, clean and exquisite painting done on these guys. Alway a pleasure tosee them. Thanks much. Mike
