Nice pictures Pat> I always enjoy your collection of glossy figures. Thanks for posting. The new cabinet must be full by now.:) John

Hi John,

Yes, my new cabinet is full. In fact, most of my cabinets are full. Finding creative ways to display my collection is becoming quite a challenge. But, of course, you are not really familiar with that problem, are you?

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Pat,
I love looking at your guys from BG. Even though I will desperately try to keep my collection limited to the obvious era, if BG had some more Victorian foreign service sets, I'd take the plunge in a heartbeat. I am enamored by the crisp, clean and exquisite painting done on these guys. Alway a pleasure tosee them. Thanks much. Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your very warm and kind comments. I agree with you about the painting displayed on the Beau Geste figures. It is elegant and exquisite. The painting, when combined with the majesty of the 1903 Delhi Durbar event, constitute a spectacular series of figures and sets. I never tire of admiring them.

I will post some more pictures of my Beau Geste figures in the not too distant future, so keep watching. There is more to come!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hi Scott,

Yes, it would be quite a sight to view the Delhi Durbar as far as the eye can see! I would love it!

Speaking of viewing the Durbar as far as the eye can see, did you know that the parade route for the Arrival Parade was six miles long? Further, the parade route was from the Delhi Train Station to the Amphitherater and when the first elements of the parade reached the Amphitherater, many of the parade participants had yet to start the journey from the Train Station? Talk about viewing the parade as far as the eye can see, you could not see that far on a clear day! :D

You don't need to wait for me to build a new wing. If you are in the area stop by and you can see all the figures I already have on display! I think you will find a few things to your liking. :)

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

That sure must have been a spectacle to be hold and probably one we will never ever see :(

Thank you for your generous offer, if I am ever in your neck of the woods I will be sure to pop in for a visit.

Gentle Friends,

I have neglected this thread too long! Some of you, especially Jeff, asked to see some of my Beau Geste figures and I have yet to fully accomodate you. As a result of these requests, I am posting some more pictures of my Beau Geste collection.

As most of you know, one of my passions is collecting figures representing the Delhi Durbar of 1903 and Beau Geste excels in producing high quality figures that celebrate this event. Therefore, I am attaching some pictures of my Beau Geste Set #209, The Ladies Band of the Nizam of Hyderabad. I hope you enjoy seeing the Ladies marching as they play their various musical instruments.

If you enjoy what you see, watch for more pictures in the not too distant future!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Gentle Friends,

Betcha thought I forgot about this thread. Well, no I have not. I have simply been occupied with other activities. However, I am assuming that there might still be a few of you interested in seeing more of the figures and sets in my Beau Geste collection. Therefore, I am presenting below one of the sets from the Beau Geste line of Delhi Durbar figures. Please enjoy Beau Geste set #159, the Ladhaki Devil Dancers.

You might note that these dancers are dressed in wonderful costumes and they are wearing very interesting masks. No two figures in the set are exactly alike. They are most colorful and they are presented in dynamic poses. I am especially pleased to display them within my Delhi Durbar collection.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Gentle Friends,

I recognize the photos of the entire set of Devil Dancers make it difficult to see the beauty of each individual figure in the set. Presented below are photographs of the front and back of each figure. Hopefully, these pictures will help you fully view the terrific painting on each figure. In addition, I hope these pictures will allow you to view the uniqueness of each figure.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Another wonderful set Pat. It is always a joy to see what you have in your "treasure chest" The Beau Geste team certainly do some splendid work and I can see why you like them so much.

Thanks for sharing them with us.

Wow, what a great set of figures! Thanks for posting the pics, both of the whole set and the pairs of figures for a closer look!

Prost!

Hello Pat,
I'm quite new on the forum and what I like a lot is browsing through the forum and finding threads unexplored by me yet full of wonderful pictures.
Yours is a very good example of that. These Beau Geste figures are really great !!
Would you have pictures of the sets displayed forming the durbar procession ?
Cheers, Michel

Hi Michel,

I am glad you are enjoying my Beau Geste figures. I find them infinitely charming, wonderfully sculpted, and beautifully painted. I only wish I had more of them in my collection.

You asked about the sets being displayed forming the Durbar procession. I have all of my Durbar figures displayed in curio cabinets. Consequently, they are not displayed in a single parade line nor are they displayed in dioramas with interesting accessories. Nevertheless, the display on each shelf in my curios is arranged as a Durbar parade in progress. At some point, I will try to take some pictures of the figures in my cabinets for you if you are interested in seeing them in that setting. Let me know of your intererst and I will forward a few photographs to you.

Thanks for taking the time to view my pictures. I will post some more in the not too distant future!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)
