Up at 7:30 am and temp is reported as 0f (zero) with wc of -16f. I still have no intention of going outside. I think Terry is correct. Hell is freezing over. -- AlI could use a pair of those. I just got off the phone with a friend in Minnesota. He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling!! The temperature has dropped to 10F below zero and the north wind is increasing. His wife has done nothing but stare through the kitchen window all day. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.
Okay, it's an old joke ..... but it seems to fit current weather conditions.
News reports on Chicago weather have been brutal. Now calling it Chiberia. {eek3} -- AlHere in the Chicago area we've had record cold temps also... Yesterday the HIGH temp was -14F. This afternoon it's supposed to get above 0... Windchills have been in the -30F to -40F range.
The company I work for closed the office yesterday and today.. so it's been no problem for us... Power has stayed on... I think it's supposed to be in the 20s tomorrow.
