Ok guys, with Easter approaching and April ebbing away May beckons. What do you think might be coming our way?. Maybe the Bowsers will be unveiled?. Last may we got a plethora of releases that included the excellent US D Day Rangers, Brit Tank crew , German Panzer Figures and those ACW Union Cavalry sets. Could this coming month be the start of 2011 D Day season, or some more ACW perhaps?. Place your bets!:smile2:

arnhem figures seem overdue. typhoon as these may dispatches will not be out until june so, well in time for 6th june so, a smattering of d-day releases would not surprise me. be looking to see a new SL soon also.

Makes sense Mitch, can't wait to see the Typhoon. As you say maybe Arnhem will return, its all good isn't it!:wink2:

The last SL was the Jagdtiger if memory serves, how do you follow that Baby?!{eek3}^&cool

Rob...

Just looks the part as well. Must have been huge sighs of relief in the german camps when night fell. looking forward to seeing what variant K&C choose hopefully its a D-Day striped version like you posted
Mitch

Yes Mitch you can imagine it can't you, it must have been very stressful for those German crews in Normandy, knowing that up there was a 'Taxi rank' of these things waiting to swoop down and send you back to Berlin in pieces, it must have also been difficult for the Germans to accept that their invulnerable days were over.

A D day striped version would be the business indeed, could possibly be the best Warbird yet?.

Perhaps a flock of Albatri, with Richthofen, Voss, and Goering at the controls. -- Al

And Ze big question is....whats being retired this month??. My June London show order is pretty much taken up with last months required retirements, I await this next batch.

Rob

The Hawker will be a must have for me :wink2:+ some truck ,how cool would be a RAF ground crew carrying a rocket ready to load on to it rackets

Where do I sign Neil?!^&grin{bravo}}

Retirements for wwii ? I am thinking some early german bulge sets, some of the early war ss in camo like ws110-ws118,us bulge sets bba 21-25, or some early 8th army sets although ea09 and ea15 are classic 8th army and maybe some market garden sets to make way for new ones. Beside wwii we could see early wwi germans go. As for vehicles who knows. Us dday jeep, sas jeep, ak motorcycle -side car. Hard to tell, what is everybody else thinking?

I agree, probably more 8th Army and Arnhem to go.I hope the recent US Rangers are not retired as I've not got those yet.

Let's hope these WW1 warbirds are on this coming month's dispatches. They looked spectacular in the recent Westcoaster show pictures.....

I'm thinking D-Day (Americans in action), Civil War (Confederate artillery seems likely to me) and Arnhem. Plus the usual surprises Andy likes to throw at us. WW1 Warbirds could be here too.

Rob, are you putting this thread up earlier than usual? I'm not asking as a criticism...for me it's never to early to start speculating about the next dispatches:)

The Typhoon seem very likely to me because it both fits Andy's announced Warbird production schedule and because it fits the June "D-Day" theme (particularly if it has those invasion stripes). Whoever suggested crew loading rockets, great idea that I hope Andy utilizes.

Along with the Typhoon I'd expect to see the RAF fuel bowser(s).

One thing I'm worried about is, it being a limited edition series 250, with 3 models to choose from - is that I'll be forced to decide which one to buy before we see what DESERT RAF warbirds/ground crew will be released. I'm not saying Andy should rearrange his production schedule around that, but it would help to give us a sneak peak (or even just the name of the 1st RAF plane) to help make that decision. Right now there are zero planes and no desert ground crew. I imagine that will change, but it would be nice to know how and when so collector's can make an informed decision.

I think we might see a return to fighting Americans at D-Day given the retirements and given the fact that last year's d-day were D-Day minus figures preparing for the invasion. It wouldn't be D-Day (or a K&C dispatch) without an AFV...but no guess as to what that could be. A Sherman Crocodile or with some other attachment would be cool, although that might be too close to what Figarti's done.

I guess we'll never see that vehicle landing craft that Andy showed off at the West Coaster in 2010...it was a real beauty, although to be honest I don't think I have the room for it.

A new Normandy building would not surprise me. I've held off so far only b/c of space and $...I hope they aren't retired as quickly as the desert buidlings were. The whole "backlot" approach is great - the closest someone like me will get to creating anything approaching Gordon's phenomenal dios.

I would tend to doubt we'd see the WWI stuff the same month as the Typhoon, so maybe a bit longer on that.

I think we've seen quite a bit from the desert so I wouldn't expect anything from EA or AK other than retirements:). We were promised more Egyptians.

If we do see ACW (and I'm kind of shocked we didn't see them on the 150th of the firing on Ft. Sumter), I would bet confederate, as Union were the last time. Perhaps artillery?

More of a wish than informed speculation would be Chinese opposition for the US Navy & China Marines.

As always, what I look forward to more than any other piece are the surprises, even if I don't buy them, like the Kaiser's Staff Wagon.
