Forthcoming November Dispatches! (2 Viewers)

Is the news then, that we are getting a release of a T-34!!!! and revisiting old series. I heard on here vietnam was a thought and other quieter ranges were getting revisited.

If he is thinking outside this ''box'' we here about then, brumbar, sturmtiger, flakpanzers nebelwerfer and kettenkraftrad are all things likely to sell better than russians. They are also what people including myself have been wanting released for a long time.

I think there may be all sorts of surprises coming over the next few months, going to be an interesting end to this year and a good start to the next {bravo}}

Rob...

I am sure there will be. I just have not yet spoken to fellow collectors who are that excited about the russians coming. I know there is a bit of interest on here from a number of collectors but, german stuff sells and there is a plethora of stuff not yet even touched.

I think there has been as much excitement, if not more, about the bomb squad tilly and crew. Less than a week and we will see what will be coming available for december

Mitch,

Will be interesting to see what is coming from K&C for the Russian front , I'm sure its going to be pretty warmly welcomed by as you say quite a few here. As you also say German items do sell well but there must come a time when as a producer you want to try something else now and again and reach out to the none Nazi collectors. Also we do hear on here from time to time the whole ' oh no not more Germans ' refrain , so it must be quite a balancing act in appealing to as many collectors as poss. As Andy has said many times you can't please all the collectors all the time, release a superb Normandy Tiger and there is always someone who wanted an AK Stug instead. There will no doubt always be Nazi releases and long may it continue, but if the German items are perhaps 'the box ' you mentioned its always good to see K&C step out of it and produce items like the Bomb Disposal sets,RAF and by the sound of it some new Russians, its all good!:smile2:

Wayne, it was my quote with the term Nazi mate, it was /is often used by the older Generation over here to describe the Germans as a whole during WW2 ' Nazi Bombers' ' Nazi Parachutists' etc. It's just a generic term really as I guess all German servicemen were fighting for the Nazi regime and so is valid in that respect I guess.

Thank for clearing that up Rob.

Re: NOVEMBER DISPATCHES

Hi Guys,

As our monthly “DISPATCHES” comes round once more I can be almost 100% sure of the following…

1. Some folks will be happy and delighted that their particular area of interest or collecting will be added to…
2. Some others will be disappointed that their own era or series will not be forthcoming in that two month period…
3. And, a few of course, will be only to pleased to criticize whatever we do as… “Too expensive”… “Under-detailed’… “Not what they would’ve done”… etc., etc.,etc.
All of which only goes to prove that you will never please all of the people… all of time… and some folks never at all!

Ah well, back to the saltmines…

Best wishes and happy collecting!

M3700914-Pint_of_beer-SPL.jpgthumbsup.gifSounds good to me.

Andy C.,you should only release figures of World War 2, most collectors only talk about this this war, the other K&C ranges is little talk of them in the forum.^&grin

Francisco

Andy,
Any news on that Chinese pirate junk that you mentioned recently? Does it look like it's going to be happening anytime soon or are there still barriers that need to be overcome before it becomes a reality? Should I start saving my pennies in anticipation?

cheers,

Jules

With all due respect, although I think that describes the universe of collectors, that is the nature of the Forum, is it not :smile2:

No, you will never please everybody but I think over the years you have done a good job of pleasing collectors most of the time and bringing some contentment to their (our) lives. In my book, that's a pretty good track record and something to be proud of ^&cool

Chin up mate ^&grin

Yes there will always be some people unhappy with what K&C release, but in the many years I've been collecting I've found there is almost always something I'd have in my collection in the vast majority of Dispatches. I dare say November will continue this fine and enjoyable tadition! Its one of the reasons why K&C are number one producer for me:smile2:

Now If I can just get away with not too many retirements this month I'll have a modest amount of wonga to spend in London {bravo}}

I think unhappy is a wide brush stroke encompassing all. Some may not be unhappy just dismayed that their choosen range has not yet come to the next run.

I think the old days when the fliers did the selling are long gone the technological world now allows collectors to assess what is on offer and, an awareness of history, knowldege of the armoury of the conflicting sides means collectors want and demand superb detail.

Manufacturers must choose how to take the good and the bad responses, on the chin, or, respond in a manner they see fit. I am sure at the end of the day regardless of critique being negative or positive looking at the balance sheets and sales figures should be all that counts.
Mitch

Well thats kind of what I meant Mitch, some will be unhappy, frustrated, dismayed, call it what you will , but no company can please every collector all the time. I don't think this was about how producers take critique, more that whatever is released someone will say ' I wanted one for the Afrika Corp ' etc. This is in no way a complaint but a fact of life . Whatever is released someone is left out, but with the regularity and quality of K&C's releases sooner or later that persons particular range will be visited. I await more Arnhem releases with great enthusiasm, in the meantime I have several other ranges to be working on, so its not a problem. Patience is a virtue and all that....although the wife may disagree:wink2:
