A US Marine sets up a Claymore Mine on a jungle trail camouflages it with some foliage and joins the rest of his ambush patrol a few meters away ready to detonate it if enemy should come down the trail.

Be great if Andy would do a set like this of a Marine setting up a Claymore mine !

Right hand figure in second photo is one of my VN023 that I have already repainted the jacket of.
I've added foliage camouflage made Milliput and painted. When I can find where I put the static grass applicator I shall add some to it to blend in with the new K&C set.

Great dio Steve, also reminds me of the Claymore scene in the Predator movie I watched yet again recently.

If you are not careful you may not be able to locate these figures being so well camouflaged {sm4}. Great scene. Robin.

Great set up mate Ive seen idiots put it the wrong way around.

Thanks Wayne. I've read of undetected VC turning them around at LP's, but yeah if squaddies can do it wrong there'll always be one who will !

Thanks Robin, yep gonna have to be careful remembering where I put them !

Thanks Matt, I have Predator on VHS, so it's a long time since I watched it. I'll have to watch it again since I've forgotten most of the story !

Steve

Cheers to all you blokes for the likes too ! :salute::

Steve, you'll have to get the DVD or Bluray version of Predator, the improved picture quality and sound makes a huge difference to this movie.

That's a great idea with the camo Steve, well done :salute::

Stay safe

yes well you have it Mate !!! I like the camouflage on the figure set VN 023! maybe Andy will release this one with the camouflage in the future you never know? and the idea for a Claymore mine set is also a big Yes for me! there are Navy SEALs for Vietnam in the K&C pipeline maybe there will be a set with a Claymore mine?

Hey Steve, I have seen a few of your Vietnam "creations" and I'm amazed that you can still be original and innovative with each one.

Nice conversion of K&C VN023. Who made the other camo figures?

I "WISH" .... that Andy and and company would consider this camo scheme for a few of the Japanese WWII sets. Many photos and documentaries show the Japanese troops with branches, foliage and similar schemes.

Humm ...:rolleyes2: .. I wonder if I could use some ground work material or other natural material and "decorate" my own JN troops????

Nice to see you still productive!

Good to see you back on the forum Larry ! :salute::
I hope you are back on tip top form and ready to crack some jokes !
Ok, K&C did the other two camo NVA figures and it's easy enough to do with some Milliput and texturing it as it dries and painting it up ! So yes give it a go yourself. A little less robust, but you could even use air drying clay to achieve the same effect.

Again good to have you back mate !

Cheers Harry ! :salute:: Look forward to seeing what camouflage you do with your VN023. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed that Andy produces a Claymore Mine set at some stage !
