Full price for shock and awe WW2 German. (1 Viewer)

I remember when I first decided to cross over from building 1/35th scale models and entered this hobby. A nice kit with about 5 soldiers was about $15.00 or so.

I was drooling over K&C's Bulge Paratroopers. Built and painted, but around $100. Could I sustain this hobby. It surly didn't look like it.

And now who would have ever thought there would be so much to select from. I guess I would consider all of the manufacturers prices reasonable. I just have not been able to buy any First Legion at $50 a pop. I hope Figarti in their Alliance with Areoart can produce the excellent quality of First Legion at a better price.

Somehow I have sustained......But I sold some HO Trains and 1/6 scale soldiers to fund my 1/30th addiction. Alex

I just wanted to clarify myself. When I refered to K&C at $100, that was for the set of course....

It always seems to be the 1/6th that gets the chop to fund the 1/30th hobby. I know lots of people who have done similar.

I was checking Ebay to see what some of the 1/6th was selling for...It is way down...But I also saw some new stuff...The new face sculpting is incredible...A company had a Monty figure that was uncanny.

I still buy and the difference between when I first started in 2001 and now is unbelievable. All mine are in the loft.
Definately prefer the 1/30th stuff now

First Legion WWII Salingrad figures are currently the "best out there":)... when you consider the quality, realism and inceased detail they are priced about right....Not inexpensive but you will be very impressed....Competitors are not all that cheap for less detail & less realism,....You get what you pay for.;)......I have been very satisfied with their product

They are excellent.......But I personally have to draw the line somewhere....I am counting on Figarti to hopefully do it better and less expensive.....Lets see what happens !

I agree with you that maybe less expensive but can't be done better;)........Might be able to match the quality but I suspect that will come at an increase cost
