With K&C making a great job of the butcherbird would be great if they a Fw 190-D nest and wonder what the interest would be ?

Sold in a flash no hesitation at all.

Wouldn`t blink my eye...! Irresistible... If they came with the red markings of JV-44, it would be a killer!

I might be tempted as well to buy this machine as the 1st airplane to be part of my WWII collection .

Have stayed away from planes so far --more out of room than dislike but this one would tempt me and heck i can hang it and it will not take up shelf space. Now to see if the wife will go for it --or maybe later?a lot later.Mike B.:rolleyes2::)

Re: Fw 190 "dora"

Hi Guys,

Re the above aircraft… Here’s a “sitrep”… The master carving is complete and the first unpainted sample is on the K&C desk in front of me.

I’m still considering the paint scheme… so all suggestions are welcome and the field is still open for what it will look like

In the production schedule for 2012 there is also one more German aircraft, a British and American one and of course the “DORA”… As events unfold we’ll keep you posted.

Best wishes and happy flying

Well, that is good news. As for paint scemes I would like to see a winter variant we have not had one from the new warbird range and, a Dora in this sceme would look very nice.

Hi Andy,

Very welcome news, indeed!^&grin. How about a Mountain-Wolf? Please enjoy the brief essay and suggestive scheme...Ollie_D.

"Set in a spectacular mountain scene, Nicolas Trudgians print records the last days of air combat as World War II drew to a close. The most feared Luftwaffe remaining units were those equipped with the remarkable Me262 fighter jet, but they were vulnerable to attack during take-off and landing.
Commanding JV-44, General Galland countered the threat by employing Fw190 Dora 9s to fly top cover."

Nicolas Trudgian's painting depicts the colorful Fw190 of Hptm. Waldermar Wubke of JV-44, as he prepared to scramble Red Three at Ainring airfield, May 1945.
