Guys...

Just had a good look at the TG FW up close this morning as the parcel force comes at the crack of dawn here. I have put a few pics of it below and, have to say that its simply superb IMO. It may have taken a few months longer than planned and, they also say, patience is a virtue so, those who have patiently waited will not be dissapointed.

For a company with a little over a years experience to do this was, seen by some, as a step too far running before you can walk I do recall someone saying but, its really a very nice set and attractively priced which, few can dispute.

I will critique when I feel its needed but, I am unable to on this aircraft I heard it had somewhat satin finish but, its not enough to make it look toyish and just enough to give it the expert modellers finish having seen a few of my mates finished articles. There are moving wheels for those who like this type of detail on their aircraft and, TG has added a number of decals to enhance the detail around the frame including around the landing gear and, the wings. I also like the crewmans foot ladder to assist getting onto the aircrafts wing.

The cockpit is nicely finished and the canopy slides easily back and forth snuggly. I even think the plain white box with small pic of the aircraft is an enhancement not a detraction from artwork as the set is what draws ones eye.

It may be a while before TG does another but, I am sure many will want him to venture into warbirds again as he has done a great job IMO.

Congrats TG really looks fab
guy:)

If I read some of TG or his surrogates earlier comments, this attempt would be his last for some time...Michael

I did mention that but, was saying that with its quality it may have been a pain but, worth it IMO

I don't think I would consider myself a surrogate for TG for saying this its just a fact
Mitch

Mitch, stunning piece!
Good things come to those who wait.:)

Nice plane, studied this in London and its good no doubt about it, it does have a satin finish but overall a good release from TG. I hope one day they may venture into the air again, but for now I hear the rumble of AFV's!.

Rob...

Was it yourself that said that?? I did not recall who it was just that it had been said. Its a fair comment but, does not detract from its overall finish. I have seen many built aircraft with similar finish and when they are displayed in dio format it looks weird I think TG has got it right enough.

I think your right about the AFV's march should be interesting for releases

Mitch, it could have been me or one of the guys at the show, its a very nice release as are a lot of TG releases, very quickly they are producing some lovely sets, their new FJ's were one of the show highlights for many on the day:cool:

As I say it was something I recalled reading but, was not laying it as an accusation or what not at anyone as its their opinion of the TG FW. I have to agree with the quality that TG has produced and released to the market. No learning curve of development from TG he certainly has hit the ground running and I suppose collectors can only expect further good things this coming year
Mitch

Thanks for the pics and review Mitch. She looks very impressive indeed. Congrats to TG and to anyone who adds one of these to their collection. It's hard to believe that this is TG's first warbird....from the pics and Mitch's descriptions, it would seem as if TG has been doing this for a lot longer than they actually have. Quite an achievement for such young co. I am now even MORE anxiously awaiting any news surrounding the debut of their first two AFV's. Fantastic work TG!:)

joesgis...

No problem. Its such a good aircraft and, on top of the tropical one the Arnim Faber version with all the history behind that aircraft and pilot is next. I agree about the vehicles they will be interesting to see for sure
Mitch

Must say the interior detail and no pilot gives much more versitility than the K&C version, I much prefer this configuration.

nmrocks...

Having only seen warbirds with the pilots in I must agree with you that it gives a greater freedom to do more in terms of display
Mitch
