It has been a while since I was on the forum. I usually pop in to check out the many dioramas many of you guys share. There is way to much here to read and for me to get involved with. But I can answer many Figarti questions and am now much more involved in the manufacturing of what will and will not be made than I have been.

So to answer some of the concerns that I see posted recently.

Chicago - Big shock and awe? probably not. will there be several new items and maybe some repaints? Yes. Will there be some stock available at the show for new items? There should be. They are doing there best to get about 6 each of everything done for the show and the remainder of the stock will be on route to Hobby Bunker around the time of the show. There will probably some other prototypes shown with availability around November.

Will there be a special event? No. Rick Wang is expected to be at the show.
But Figarti and Myself (Hobby Bunker)will be setting up on the first floor this year along with Thor Johnson and maybe another dealer. As some of you recall we were set up there a few years ago during the Hotel renovation

The latest batch....where is my Tiger! It has was just railed into Chicago today. It should be trucked out to Hobby Bunker in a day or 2 and then delivered to me probably early next week. The Tigers are sold out (at least everyone coming to me between retail and dealer orders). The DAK-003 Is nearly sold out and the Russian Cavalry have also had a bunch of pre-orders.

Why doesn't Figarti make 300 tanks? Well many reasons. They make what the market can bear. mold capacity. According to Peter the mold for the DAK Tiger literally broke during production leaving them and the world short. Can they sell 200 Tiger Tanks? Probably? Can they sell 200 Winter Storches? Probably not, I still have about 6 left from the 70 I received. Anyways 100 is good, a few years ago we bumped it to 120 and then the world economy crapped and I got stuck with the extras. They can only make so much and I can only import so much. I hope that helps.

For now 100 makes everything rare, collectible and manageable.

If I missed something let me know. If you have wants or questions post her, share with your dealer or send directly to me at matt@hobbybunker.com or on my phone if you really can't wait at mhobbunker@aol.com

Thanks for your time and yes my grammer is usually horrible!

FYI - Nearly sold out ....the Wagon ETG-074, 6 horse team ETG-073, DAK-004 German Artillery, RMG-005 Nashorn, ETG-008 Recovery Vehicle, ETG-033 Locomotive

Just sold out in last month or so ETG-009 Winter Ground Stuka, ANA-001 Lee Tank, ETG-037 flatbed, ETG-030 Morser Karl

Interesting read and, the news about the DAK Tiger mold will, sadly, be music to some ears!!! would that mean that a run of grey will not be done or will they think about making a new mold for 100 of a grey version??
Mitch

Matt, thanks so much for infor on Chicago show and Figarti's DAK Tiger as well as stock on other items...Ron

There will most likely be a Grey Tiger. Different variant, different mold

Tarawa - Probably 2013

Wake Island - Yes, prototypes may be shown at show. We have probably one last round of about 6 sets planned. Including Hand to hand sets and pilots.

Time Period other than WWII -Yes. 6500.00 Ship -NO!

Matt,

That's great news that more Wake Is. sets are forthcoming. I really enjoy the range. The figures are designed very well.

Will photos of Wake Island prototypes be on the forum before or after Chicago?
