George!! get your shovel ready!!! (1 Viewer)

Well, missed us completely here in MD, George, hopefully you get out from under it soon. Louis, take a much needed rest.

Of course our local weather folks were mighty upset, they missed their snowgasm of the year. It seriously is unbelievable the long faces on tv this morning when the sun came up. As usual, they looked like idiots, like I said yesterday, the Nat. Weather Service said Maryland would get zilch at 1pm and these morons were still calling for overnight snow. Darn near drives me mad how it has to be the only job in the world where you are wrong 100% of the time and keep your job.

I hope all my friends in the Northeast stayed reasonbly warm and dry during this latest 'storm o' the century'. It's been a rough few months for you all. Fortunately spring, and baseball, aren't far away. Don't hurt yourself shoveling that white crap. -- Al

Wish I could, Tom, but in a few minutes a leave to dig my mother-in-law out.:rolleyes2:

It's hard on the back and can tax the heart so please be careful.

Agreed,
I still have about a 30 year old snowblower which I rebuilt about 5 years ago, as long as the engine is still good, the internet was a wonderful source for parts (even the auger when the blizzards of 5 years ago broke it!!). The only tough thing is it is best in abotu 8 inches of snow, so when we do get the biggies, I am out there at least 3 times doing the work. AND nothing can account for the Snow plows do to the end of your driveway, that is the worst. Anyhow, Louis, if not a plow contract, get a snowblower!

Only 8 inches. :rolleyes2: That's not a snow blower - it's a snow swiffer. ^&grin I have a small 4hp Honda and it can easily do 2 ft of fresh snow and blow it across the street onto my neighbours driveway. ^&grin

Thanks Brad I just got back from shoveling out my mother-in-law, and other than a bit of a sore back, I'm fine. I know a gentleman who was a mediator about 15 years older than me who had a heart attack and died shoveling snow last winter, so I know I have to be careful not to overdo it.
