German City Urban Area (1 Viewer)

Wow. That is some of the best work that I have seen on this forum. Those final days of the war hold a kind of terrible fascination that you have captured perfectly. I was in in Berlin last year and it is surreal to imagine what went on. Not much left from that era but buildings like the Reichstag are still fascinating.

Took some time off to do the ACW diorama and to enjoy the holiday weekend. Now back to the WW2 diorama. The second streetcar, political locomotive and gondola car arrived. I also started to unbox and get all of the figures and some vehicles on the table. I originally was going to use this for German and Russian soldiers initially but switched to German soldiers. Then when I started to get the WB US WW2 figures and vehicles, finalized the design for this using US 9th Armored and 101st Airborne figures and vehicles diorama. I have drafted plans for a German section with factory to begin construction in early 2026. Here are a few images of the troops and vehicles on the table as well as a couple looking down the streets with the nighttime lighting. an interesting footnote, there are over 100 12-volt LED lights in the Urban Section. Thx Chris

A man after my own heart…I love model railroads and still hope that I can someday build an ACW themed one compatible with the many Civil War figures I have sculpted over the years. With that said, my second choice might be French National Railways during the Second World War as one of my favorite WWII movies is “The Train”.

More I see, the more I see if this diorama, the more I'm impressed Chris 👍🏻
