Bob....brilliant mate, just wonderfull.......{bravo}}:salute::
Wayne.

Hi Fitzgibbon,
I see you are on the search for some WW1 logistics inspiration! :cool:Well I have to say that the trucks you have posted here are very nice indeed...{sm4}
Unfortunately other than the sporadic armoured car here and there, the TAW vehicles that pop up now and then on E Bay.....all that is left ....is to scavange the market for Civilian saloon cars and commercial trucks and apply to them a warrior cloak. Do check www.scalelink.co.uk for some options on trucks and supplies for conversion, they are a good source also.
I was fortunate to purchase a few vehicles from TAW and others....before they ceased to exist.
Obee is helping me in converting a few more civilian vehicles to Aussie transports.........
Attached a few picks.....

Had a few technical glitches of late but thanks for adding interest to this thread. It as a great subject with unlimited scope but thus far limited treatment. Please feel free to add further - I promise not to feel hijacked. Britains has a good WW1 range and I am sure if we pool our pics, we can keep it going for a while. :smile2:

Thanks for the tips on vehicles - I really would like to find some more to work into dios even if they need converting (I enjoy this anyway) - so here are my intrepid troops returning ...

Thanks Steve, it's a great topic to explore - just waiting the arrival of some more figures

C'mon then. Who is going to be first to rub it in by showing off figure 23030? The irony in the Doughboys getting WW1 figures first is never lost on me! By rights shouldn't they have their stock 20 months after the rest of us?!

Sorry Isandlwana, it wasn't meant as jibe - but seriously, when I was much younger (much), we in Oz waited a whole lot longer for everything - that's the wheel of history for you. Nothing surer but that it will keep turning...keep smilin' {sm4}

Still no 23030? Someone must have one surely. It's been on ebay in the US for a week.

I'm a fully fledged contributor to the 'glass half empty' movement! Just checked on ebay UK to see if figures 23030 and 23035 are appearing and they're not - will come to this in a moment.

What I did note, however, is that a couple of figures from the new WW1 range are already being sold for less than their retail price on the website by ectoys from Blackpool (a good guy and seller by the way). Should we read anything in to this with regard to their popularity and maybe the initial starting price?

With regards figures 23030 and 23035 I would like to know why these have been available on ebay US for two weeks, possibly more now, yet the rest of us are still waiting. Again though, these figures are being sold on ebay US for less than shown on the WB website.

ShouldI/we be worried about the longevity of this range?

As an adjunct to the above, when you buy direct from the website in the UK, the order is fulfilled by Manchester House (Magpie Ltd) who will charge postage when ordering this way. However, when you order from them direct via ebay, postage is free. What's the point of that? Don't know if this happens around the rest of the world.

They exist and they are excellent, cheers, Robin.

Thanks Robin. I got to handle them and the ammo carrier at the War & Peace show in the UK and loved them, which is why I am keen to get hold of them!
