Not normally something I would have picked to watch but got sucked in after better half was about 10 minutes in.
Story is about people coming out of their graves. Fortunately they are in good condition and not zombie looking. The group that have come out range from a bushranger, WW1 soldier, Italian catholic housewife, and the deceased wife of the local cop who discovers the open graves. Some don't know how they died so there is some story line about their previous backgrounds. Some interesting twists.
Life gets a bit complicated for the cop as he has since re-married. He and local doctor trying to work out what has brought them back. Also some issues with fellow cops.
I found it interesting enough to be looking forward to next series.
Was produced by ABC Australia last year but Netflix now involved with series 2.
Same with mw, thought it was pretty well done with a couple of good plot twists, really looking forward to season II.
but it's amazing how dialects can be a problem, finally had to put onthe ENGLISH subtitles to catch all the local lingo!?!?!?!:redface2:
Ray
I did wonder how popular it would be with foreign audiences. I was raised in a country town and found the dialogue very typical and not the usual overdone Australian dialect we hear in most films. Funny that Ray had to use subtitles, I have the same problem with New Zealand dialogue :wink2:
Does that mean you can't speak Kiwi mate?^&grin
No, I can't speak Kiwi. And can rarely understand what's said on my favorite New Zealand TV show; Hunting Aotearoa Of course some of the following is in that strange Canadian tongue ^&grin
Thank you Matt, thought it might be time for a hearing test... it is a good show. So was it popular in Aus/NZ?
