I have a few glossy Napoleonics: K & C, Beau Geste and Little Legion, which I would like to get out and shoot for this thread but for now this is what I have photos of (taken from the K & C Glossy thread).
Brad
Are those K and C Napoloens?
I haven't seen them before.

Yes, Jeff did an excellent job here again. A beautiful set.
Here a few closeups of my favorite scene.

I completely forgot to add Imperial to the list when I started this thread. I knew I was forgetting something important. Very nice looking figures. Too bad they are so scarce these days. Almost as tough as Trophy to track down and fetch pretty good prices on ebay as well.

yes , even at a local level they are thin on the ground in the secoundary market [and hardly ever Naps , which are my favourites] .
As for trophy ,I knew almost nothing about them before joining the forum
and have been blown away by the variety of sets they produced.
I,ve picked up the odd WW1 set but their is no way i,m joining the hunt for
any others at this late stage as it would result in financial ruin .
cheers Rob

There are some exceptional peices in this thread! I particularly like that duel between the French officer and the English calvaryman! Very nice!

Nathan ,
The massed display looks great mine are scattered over a few different shelves at this point.
cheers Rob

Great photos from all of you. :) Using the map of Europe is really good.

Great stuff.

Gentle Friends,

A shiny French Army marching to war needs a good, glossy French Military Band to encourage it, don't you think?

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Very nice Looking band Pat , is that a single set or combination of more than one ? .
Regards Rob

Certainly have Pat! :) That is some fine paint finish.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I'm glad you enjoyed the band. And, yes, they are nicely painted. I display them in a curio much as you see them in the photographs. I frequently sit gazing at the wonderful finish on the figures.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your kind comment and your interest in my band. The band was manufactured by Beau Geste and it consists of three separate sets. These sets are:

1. Set #39 - Drummers Line, Regt. D'Isenbourg, 1809

2. Set #40 - First Line Music Band, Regt. D'Isenbourg, 1809

3. Set #41 - Winds Line Music Band, Regt. D'Isenbourg, 1809

All three sets have long since been retired by Beau Geste. I feel very fortunate to have these figures included in my collection.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Pat as usual you have great taste in toy soldiers. I saw the pics and new they were BG. The bases are distinct in their thickness. They are fabulous.

I have some gloss nappys that I will post soon. I found a bunch and have been restoring them. No name . They maye be home cast but they are cute and halfway well done. I am painting details on them and filling in paint chips. There are a lot of figures so I am doing small batches to eventually get them all pretty.
