Guys, as a perfectly enjoyable thread was once again ruined by discourse and understandably closed by Pat ,I'd like to start this one where we can enjoy Gordon's work. So I'll post a couple of his pics to get it rolling including last from other thread

I know I have photos of a few older ones that I saved at home and will post those tonight, including an Arnhem one but that may be Andy's work; still good though ^&grin

This was a dio that K & C made for the Arnhem 44 range. I think (but couldn't swear) that it is now in the collection of John Adivari (Njja on this Forum).

Not sure if it was made by Andy or Gordon.

Gordon and Andy are "artists" and masters of their craft. From one who has collected art (contemporary paintings and Asian antiques) for over forty years I still find it hard to figure out the actual worth of a piece. Art is very subjective and while we may all have our opinions it is best to respect the buyer's decision in what he feels is a fair price.
If you love the work of art and get pleasure from owning it then pay what you can afford.

I enjoy K&C's diorama pieces and would also like to see more desert and European dwellings.

Perhaps John Jenkins will do some individual pieces one day, I remember that he started out as a theatrical set designer.
The added attraction of our toy soldier/military miniature art is that it truly brings history to life.

This piece particularly caught my eye. I once saw a small castle in Baden that resembled this. It dated from the late medieval period, I think, but was still in use as an outpost in the 18th century. I always thought I'd like to build a section of the covered wall and the courtyard, for some of my SYW figures. This inspires me to revive that project. Thanks for posting the photo, Rob!

Prost!

Thanks for starting this thread Rob although it's a pity the other one got closed.

I also think the desert village dio is one of Gordon's best and for me it's the huge "grandeur" or size of it that makes it so impressive. I am a big fan of large dio's and even though the small dio's look awesome, you can't go past a "biggy" in my view. The new building Gordon created is awe inspiring though!
