Are the Saltines the correct scale? What color are they? And are they historically accurate?

There has got to be a Saltine expert on this forum.
There is just one saltine, Nabisco, all others are knock-off wanna be types. Nabisco has spent years getting the correct number of holes, salt crystals, camo color, and number of sides correct. All others are inferior. {sm3} -- Al

Al:

Those crackers have gotten very expensive! For the amount of money I am paying for them I demand perfection. The box clearly says Saltines on it therefore each cracker better definitely have salt and ine on it.

Then again if I don’t like Nabisco Saltines I could always just go buy Keebler Saltines.

......having never had the pleasure of experiencing a Saltine, would I be right in assuming it's a salty cracker with holes in it? :tongue:^&grin

Well ... that is sorta' correct, but it depends on how old they are and where you live.
They have a short shelf life and after that, especially in a humid climate ... they are no longer a cracker and become more like oatmeal ...yummy!

George provides some on our trips and the expiration date is something like 1973 or so. {sm4}

Actually Terry ... I just watch the latest episode of the mini-series COSMOS with Neil Tyson, and I am sorry to say that we are ALL rather insignificant. {sm2}

But if it helps ..... your star is probably brighter than most! {sm4}

I checked with Tyson. He's never heard of you but does want you to stop using his show as reference material for your debates :p^&grin

Wow.....so George has a secret stash from the 70's and they are quite unstable and can 'morph' into something entirely different.....sounds like my kind of cracker......throw a slab of spam on it and Bob's ya Nana....{eek3}:tongue:^&grin
