Guadalcanal; stepping stone to Tokyo (1 Viewer)

Speaking of Henderson Field, is that coming in the next installments? Gotta show the Catcus Air Force!

Prost!

Reb, no worries mate, ALWAYS interested in hearing about visits to battlefields, so thanks for sharing the story with us.

Gary, your dad is the big strapping Marine with the bazooka about to demolish the one of the Japanese bunkers.

Louis, couldn't agree more. One of my all time favorite Family Guy moments is when Stewie and Brian do their brat pack tribute and Brian gets all hacked off and bites Peter in the arm. The next morning at breakfast, Brian tries to tell Peter he's sorry; Peter freaks out and throws his breakfast plate at Brian and when Brian moves closer to say he's sorry again, Peter picks Stewie up out of his highchair and rifles him off of Brians head..............I laughed till I cried, beyond hysterical..................

I couldn't agree more, George! Hysterical stuff!! How about the episode that spoofs the Dukes of Hazard, and introduces the recurring character of the old pedophile. I don't think I stopped laughing once throughout the entire episode!:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks Kevin, I appreciate the kind words from you, the master story teller.

Louis, that character is beyond comical; love the episode where he dreams he's "married" to Chris; there is no subject too taboo for that show......................

How about the one where he is the "grand poobah" of the secret society at Lois' father's private school, and when Chris decides he wants to go back to public school, Mr. Perlmutter has to spend five minutes in the closet with him.

Lois's father is comical, love the way he abuses Peter...........great program............

Family Guy is funny as, much better than The Simpsons imo.

I like them all but I'd say my favourite episode is 'Lethal Weapons' where Lois toughens up with Karate or something causing problems in the home. Near the end of the episode the family have an all in brawl in the living room. It has the best bits from every fight scene made, and then some.

Lois ends up fighting Peter, and Meg fights Peter and it's Brian against Stewie. At one stage Stewie (the baby) is riding Brian (the dog) and pulling his ears and stuff and Brian runs under a table to knock him off.

And basically any episode with Quagmire in it, that guy is so wrong, yet so funny.

Funny how you mention that episode Oz as that is my all time favorite.

Lois gets aggressive with all of her karate training and abuses Peter to the point where he tells Brian at breakfast the next morning "Last night, Lois was the man!!" and he's all upset, at which point Stewie comes into the kitchen, takes a few practice swings with a baseball bat, knocks off the donut and drills Peter off the head with the bat and he goes face down out cold onto the table..............hysterical..........

Awesome as always George.Shermans or not. I cleared off my table for a Pacific battle this Sunday.A friend of mine have the same BDay and we're going to hang out in the cave and play with toys.Full beach Assault but after seeing your table I wish I would have went that route but theres always another day.Must be the heat or something , great minds think alike.
Looks Great George!

Great episode! It ends with Lois smashing a picture of a horse over Peter's head, with his face coming right through the horse's @ss, and the whole family laughing too hard to keep brawling.:D:D

And all I can say about Quagmire is "gigity-gigity-gigity!":D:D:D:D:D

Thanks Scott; it was between this and Tarawa.............I think Tarawa will be the next Pacific theme I do, but Europe is next on deck..............or the ACW for a patient friend or two from across the pond.....;)

Nice diorama George on Guadacanal. I have about seven books on the battle and it Interests me for many years. I have Eric Hammel's three volume set where each book covers one area of the battle. The land war, sea war and the air war. I also have Frank's book on Guadacanal. I enjoy your Pacific War scenes. Tarawa, Okinawa and Iwo along with Pelilu and Saipan were classic battles. John

Thanks John, always a pleasure to hear from you and thanks for your feedback. I am planning yet another Pacific diorama for the near future, perhaps Tarawa or Leyte.............

No worries mate, I have to pick the proper scene and get it all strait in my coconut before I start (which is the biggest problem, getting ANYTHING strait!).....perhaps Gettysburg would be a good place to start, heard that battle was rather involved........;)
