Hello Everyone. I am new to this forum and thought you might like to see Len's boats. He and Valerie came to Sulphur Springs to visit Mike Laeding and me. Tommy

Hi Tommy,

Welcome to the Treefrog Forum. I think you will find many friends and much fellowship here. Please visit often and post frequently.

Your Trophy Gunboats are outstanding! In fact, your entire Trophy collection is quite remarkable. I am pleased to finally see some of your items. On several occasions, Mike Laeding has mentioned your collection to me and he described your collection as stunning. Mike was correct!

However, I must ask you if the piece in the lower left hand corner of photos #4 and #5 is William Hocker's set of Bushnell's Turtle? If so, in addition to collecting Trophy figures, do you also collect William Hocker figures?

Interestingly, I am somewhat familiar with Sulphur Springs and I have traveled through your community many times as my wife's parents used to live not far from there. Had I truly known what a treasure trove of Trophy figures you possessed, I would probably have contacted you to see if you ever allowed persons to view your collection. It would certainly have been a treat to actually see your wonderful collection. Thanks for providing the photos of your Gunboats! They are special!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Greetings Tommy,

Thanks very much for sharing your magnificent Trophy gunboats.

I shall be looking forward to more photos of your collection of "Trophies".

Merry Christmas, Raymond.:)

Tommy
Mike Laeding has mentioned you to me a few times.
Not by name but as a collector with a great collection.
It is great to hear from you and see your collection.
I am particularly "envious"of the HMS Lion.
That is a wonderful set.
Your whole collection is superb.
I look forward to interacting with you on this forum
I would second Pat's welcome to you.
I am sure when the UK Trophy collectors wake up you will start getting similar welcomes from them.

Let us not forget the Yanks Damian. Welcome aboard Tommy.

Damian: Thanks. I think that Len told us he made less than 30 of the Lion and Eagle and close to 50 for the Leopard. I have only seen the Arab dhow on ebay twice and would like to have one. I will be sharing more photos. Tommy

Hi Pat: Thanks for the welcome. You are correct about the Hocker submarine. I have 16 of his sets including the observation balloon. Come by the office anytime or email me and I will meet you there. The rowboats and pier are from Tedtoy and the pinacle from Alexander whick makes some great smaller boats. Tommy

Hi Tommy,

Thanks for the invitation to view your collection. I will certainly attempt to contact you the next time I am in the area.

Thanks, also, for varifying Bushnell's Turtle for me. One day, I will own that set. The Observation Balloon is very, very special and I am glad you own it. At times, I visualize that set in my display room, but, so far, I have spent my money on other treasures.

Once again, I welcome you to the Treefrog Forum and I look forward to more conversation with you in the future!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Tommy,

That's a heck of a collection. I'm envious of Pat having a chance to take a look there.

Welcome.

tommy great pics, keep em coming. mike always said if i get down to see my sister in law in ft worth that i should look him up and that we would look you up. it might not be such a bad idea to see my in law. hope to see more pictures thanks

Great photos! Does anyone own or have photos of the Arab Dhow? I never got a good look at that Trophy boat.

Raymond,

Thanks for the warm welcome and directing me exactly where I had to go! Wow! Awesome photos, I had never seen it that close up and in color.
