Nice collection you have aquired, Louis. The crane truck is quite something and I really like the Fokker Eindekker. That Heco airfield you have put together must be getting crowded.^&grin:salute:: -- Al

It is Al! I am thinking about stringing some fishing line and having a few of the aircraft dogfighting over the field. :wink2:

Even though it reminds me of my childhood bedroom hanging planes from the ceiling still provides a spectacular effect. Just make sure they are securely anchored because you will always have someone can't resist swinging them.

I already have a Heco Bleriot Monoplane and a Heco Tinplate Zeppelin hanging from fishing line from my 5 year old son Alec's ceiling. Fortunately, at 5 he is too small to reach up and swing them.:wink2:

But it is fun to see them fly across the room and back again.............................^&grin^&grin

By the way, I just wanted to tell everyone what a pleasure it was to speak with new forum member Zach. He is a genuinely nice person, very knowledgeable about military history, and extremely courteous and helpful. We ended up chatting for a couple of hours after agreeing on the purchase. He was a member of the South Carolina Toy Soldier Collecting Club, along with my old friend (and one of the great gentlemen of this hobby) Jack Matthews.

And what a collection he has. In addition to one of the finest Heco Tinplate collections I have ever seen, for those of you into the old King & Country glossy WWII figures and the wood vehicles and wood planes from the early 1990's, his collection of the early stuff is quite extensive.
