Heco Tinplate Models (3 Viewers)

That is a beauty..I have noticed that Heco's earlier stuff had a flat propeller, but as they got more experienced, you can see a more dimensional prop..Michael

Really nice looking D-3. The blue finish is beautiful. Also like the skull.:D -- Al

Thanks, gentlemen. The person who sold it to me told me he has a couple of more Heco Tinplate Models in his attic he is willing to part with. I am waiting to hear from him about which ones he has. If I already have them, I will, of course pass the opportunity along to another Heco afficionado like Michael.;)

I just e-mailed Brad some photos of my new Pfalz DIII, with a polite request that he post them for me on this thread. The first few are of it right out of the box with the certificate. The remainder are shots of it on the airfield next to a Heco Tinplate Pfalz DIX.

I looked at some photographs of Pfalz aircraft, and I think that the other plane is a Pfalz DIIIa, not a DIX.

Should be getting some photos of additional Heco items available for sale this weekend. Updates once I have seen what the gentleman offering them for sale has available.;)

I finally heard from the gentleman yesterday. He told me he had sent me an e-mail about the other Heco he had available but I never received it. Hopefully he will resend it today.

I think I may have found a Heco or A.W. Military Figures figure with a coffee mug similar to the one posted on this thread by John (Beating Retreat) in post 230.

Louis, those are English soldiers I believe, that would be a tea cup, not a coffee cup.

Walt,

You are clearly 100% correct - my bad!;):D The soldier is clearly enjoying a cup of hot, sweet cha, as George MacDonald Fraser put it, "the British Army's panacea for everything but a stomach wound."

I'd like to try one of those.

If you ever come by to visit, I will have a cuppa tea ready for you. I hope you don't mind tea from a Lipton tea bag, as I'm an American, and only drink coffee.:p

Waiting to hear back from seller, but I think I just bought a Heco Tinplate Albatross DV with a red fuselage. Assuming he accepts my offer, photos to follow on receipt.:cool::cool::cool:

Wow! More than 19,000 views on this thread. Heco Tinplate Models are as popular as ever, as far as I can see.:)

I purchased the figure holding the mug. I have a photograph I received from Tony Williams of a couple of Heco/AW Military Figures RAF groundcrewmen, one of whom is holding a mug. The figure I just obtained is identical, except that the figure is painted as a black man or Hindu. Once I receive it, I will pass take photos and pass them along to Brad with a police request that he post them for me.:)

I got the Albatros!:cool: Should have it hand by the end of the week. I will send Brad some photos with a polite request that he post them upon receipt.:)

The Albatros DV and the RAF crewman with the mug of tea both arrived.

The DV is silver with a red nose and tail, and is fairly late production (1996) so has the 3-D prop and extra wire detail. It is very, very nice!:cool::cool::cool:

Like all of the Heco figures, the RAF crewman is a bit primative, but cool.

I have to go out with my wife and kids, but I will take photos of both and send them to Brad with a polite request that he post them later today.:)

I just sent Brad 5 photos of the Albatros DV and one photo of the RAF crewman with the mug of tea, with a polite request that he post them on this thread.:)
