Heinkel 219 " uscha" (1 Viewer)

Rick was really hopeful he could produce this plane, but after further consultation with his staff, he told us that it was unlikely. He said he would look into it further, but for him to produce and ship it, he has to reevaluate the price point.:(

Very understandable Louis,

I for one would still be interested in the purchase of at least one even if the price were to rise somewhat.

My Figarti fuel truck needs more items to fuel up.

300 would be a great price, I actually looked into a 1/30wooden version, gear down through one of the company's thats sell wooden warbirds and by the time all the detauils were worked out it was well over 400.00 and huge to ship.
I don't know howmuch over 3 we're talkin' But to quote one of my favorite movie lines "It's a Beaut Clark"

Here is the picture of the prototype courtsey of Phamtom Warrior (Terry).

1/30 if made, which now seems unlikely.

Now that would be a real ashame if it wasn't going to be made :(

I was really hoping that Figarti was beginning to get into the aircraft business. I know the Desert Storks did really well, their all sold out at the HB.

The one complaint I've heard was the canopy not being clear. I somewhat agree, but I see why is was made that way.

This Owl prototype is wonderful. It would be even better with a clear canopy. Myself I have many hundreds of diecast planes in all scales. I know this Owl would SELL-OUT.

Please....Rick :)

After seeing the PIC i would definatly grab one, what ever price........

Lets not let this be forgotten ;)

Does anyone else want to see the Figarti plane series continue with this Owl

Cheers

An Owl would be great to see in 1/30 but I would prefer that initially Figarti made some more aircraft that could be more easily be included in ground force style displays like their Storch. For example, Gliders (Allied and/or Axis), DC-3/Dakota and maybe a little US spotter plane like in the Bulge Movie.

Ricks put the bait out there, perhaps he could get commitments in advance of production to see if it would be viable.
I must say I am concerned about the canopy's being frosted? did anyone ask about this issue in Chicago?
I know from my modeling days you can't use any of the super glue family of adhesives around clear plastic as it will frost it?

Hi Ray and All,

All future planes we make will no longer have canopies that are not clear. We have taken a different approach in manufacturing the canopies so the frost issue on the canopy has been resolved. As for the OWL, we are still trying hard to see how to make the item viable to make and sell at an affordable price. I will keep you all updated if we finally decide to go into production.

Rick, good news about the clear canopies.

Is there a chance you may make a clear replacement canopy for the Storch?

Thanks Rick, we all appreciate your hard work.

The prototype Heinkel 219 that Rick showed at the Chicago Show was done the Figarti Way with hatches that could be opened to show both of the two engines and real rubber tires. While cool, I think collectors who want this plane would not mind if only one engine hatch opened (or even no hatches) and regular wheels. :)

rick, way to go after after it on the uscha. i am sure if anybody can figure it out you can. as you can see there is a lot of demand.. good luck
