Help identifing Chuch Harris' loose items (2 Viewers)

Thank you Mike and Dave. I'll ditch the figure. Very doubtful I can find the gun and original figure to go with it. Will list it as is after I retake the pictures.

Got my next one for you. Mostly need help identifying what period he's from and country his uniform represents.
I'm thinking Renaissance era...Spanish or Italian uniform. Been a long time since I've had any history classes.

Thank you!!

Thank you kilted vampire.

Next in line is this set of Quartermaster Corp soldiers. I know they are British and it looks to be the Zulu war.(Not sure that is the correct name for it.) Can anyone give me any further information on this?

Quartermaster Corps is the brand produced by Carl Hoegermayer here in PA, in Buckingham. Carl is a member of the forum, though I don't know how often he checks in. He is a regular on the show circuit. That set is probably still available in his catalog.

Prost!

Thank you theBaron and Kilted Vampire. Really helps identifying it by regiment. I will see if can find out more from Carl Hoegermayer before listing it.
Does anyone know what name he goes by here? I saw several names with Carl but none in PA.
Or does he has a web site? Could not find it under Quartermaster Corp.

I see you are I the same boat as me. Its good to see a forum helping like this. I am going to have tons of questions myself.

Can anyone tell me what the Quartermaster set below might be worth? I'm having trouble trying to get information on line about Carl's items and no one seems to know his forum name for me to send him a message. I could probably find his phone number on line with the information ya'll have given me but I'm not comfortable contacting someone like that.

I can't tell if some those figures are supposed to have sort of bent guns or not. Particularly the 2nd and 4th from the left. The 4th one looks like maybe the guy was rigging a knife on the end of his gun as a bayonet and it's a bit droopy. I dare not try to straighten them.

Hi There,

I would say that a good starting point for the Quartermaster set would be around $100 to $120. These a good glossy figures and they will sell with no problem. Of course the Baron probably knows the pricing better than I do so I would ask him also.

Dave

PS dont try and unbend the guns the could break or the paint could come off. I would just try to wrap them in tissue and or bubble wrap before shipping them to a new home

Thanks Dave. I know better than to try to bend them back. Learned that the hard way on something else. :redface2:

Next we have a Tamiya plastic model tank. What can y'all tell me about it? Type, scale, anything else you think might be pertinent

Found another set of QuarterMaster Corp soldiers.

Can anyone tell me about them? Are they more of the 24th Rgmt. of Foot "The Welsh Borderers"?

That is correct. They are the 24th Ft., the South Wales Borderers, ca. 1879. -- Al

This is a WW2 Russian tank, the KV-2. Don't know what scale for sure, but a lot of Tamiya's stuff is 1/35. -- Al

Yep, their older line of armor kits is in 1/35. They added a line of armor kits in 1/48 a couple of years ago, which have proved popular.

Regarding the Quartermaster Corps sets, I'll check my catalogs, but bear in mind that these sets are still being made, so Carl's list price is still the yardstick.

Prost!

These are mixed-and-matched from at least 2 sets, maybe more.

The three standing figures in the middle are from set 73, "24th Foot, Light marching order", poses 319, 318 and 322. The driver seated on the edge of the box is from set 48, "24th Foot, Freight Wagon", pose 224. The two kneeling and firing look like they're from set 20, "24th Foot, Infantry Line"; the one with the pith helmet is pose 108. The man with a bandaged head is a variant, I believe, available to order, of pose 134.

Prost!

These, too, look like a mixture of figures from at least two sets, maybe more.

The two figures standing, firing, are from set 10, "24th Foot, Infantry, line, poses 46 and 47.
Kneeling at the ready (2nd from left) is 134.
The figure 3rd from left, I can't identify against any pictures in the catalog. The other figure, with the bandage, is 226, also from set 48.

I should clarify that, although Carl has complete sets shown in the catalog, he sells the figures individually, so it's very possible for a collector to mix and match.

Prost!
