So no on recognizes the piece below?
Does anyone recognize these? Brand/maker? Would they be Zulu war or something else?

Thank you
They are not King & Country figures, but rather they are made in Russia and sold as Saint George's Cross. They manufacture figures from the Russo-Japanese War of 1904, World War I on the Russian Front, and the Russian Civil War. These are WWI Russian Infantry. Most of the time you will find them unboxed, but I do have some numbered sets which came in maroon boxes with no box lid top label, but a small, white descriptive box end label (e.g. St George Cross Set #3945, 1919-1921 White Guard Infantry (Kornilovsky Rgmnt. Officer Set). I actually have 12 (two sets?) of these figures to include an officer in an all green uniform, a bugler, a drummer, and nine men. At one time, Sergei Ilyashenko of Lead Army sold them at the West Coaster and Chicago Shows.
I earlier said that they were WWI Russian Infantry, but in taking a good look at mine I believe that they are actually a Russian Rifle Regiment from the Russo-Japanese War in 1904-05 due to the green trousers they are wearing among other things.
I bought sets of toy soldiers from Sergei, and the boxes had identifications written in colored metallic marker, such as gold, on the ends, and usually in Russian (in the Cyrillic alphabet).
Prost!
Brad
Thanks Brad. My box doesn't have anything like that. No markings at all.
They look like old Barclay Maniol dimestore figures to me, but I know very little about these figures, so can’t help much.
Just as an aside, my son Alec mentioned that he missed his phone calls with “Pop-Pop” (what he called your dad) and we talked about him on Veterans Day. He is still missed very much by those of us lucky enough to call him our friend.
This might prove to be a useful web-site. Just scroll down until you find one site for Barclay - and another for Manoil figures.
Then have a look down the left side of the pages - where you will find loads of pics of the various figures. This should give you the catalogue numbers of the various figures in the range. Don't forget to say thanks to Deke!
Hope it helps - jb
