Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can recognise this Trophy set please?

Unfortunately, there is no label on the box.

Many thanks

I will defer to Martyn and Tom Dubel but Trophy, based on the MKL Models Catalogue, didn’t make many Napoleonic figures with round bases. I assume they have the “TM” base on the underside of the figures.

I would love to help but I don't collect Trophy Nap sets, looking at the bases I think the set was produced between 1998 and 2004. Scott (arnhem44mad) might be able to help as he collects/collected Trophy Nap sets.

Stay safe

Martyn:)

Dear Martyn,

You don't realise what help you have given me. I think that Scott may have been the former owner of this set! I new that the TS collecting world was small!

Thanks for the response.

Scott - was this one of yours?

Regards to all.

well this is my area of interest. That is set wa90 coldstream guards. They also made another advancing set that included a drummer which was wa91. Hope that helps

Just catching up but yes on this one, Greg has it covered. As to the bases, Len changed bases towards the later releases to be more terrain based rather than the former Rectangles. They came in all shapes and designs. Generally circular and curved in some way.

It is definitely Trophy

It was called Up Guards

Cannot remember the set number

One of those sets form the noughties

Before Trophy stopped production

Gentleman,

I really appreciate all your comments. They are definitely Trophy figures and made in the 90’s as attested to on the base. I now know they are set WA90 Coldstream Guards.

Thank you for solving this.

Regards (re-guards) to all.

This is 'Coldstream Guards Charging.

There was another set with similar poses numbered directly before or after this set but in that set all the figures had 2x feet on their bases and this was called 'Coldstream Guards Advacing.

Scott

Dear Scott,

I am indebted to you for these lovely figures. I had forgotten about the other set and decided to find them. Here they are and thanks for confirming there number WA91. These sets were produced in the year 2000. You can see how Trophy figures matured compared with the 1990's figures.

Kindest regards,

yes smendy, len was really hitting his stride with the later figures. li loved the black brunswickers too as well as the american rev sets.
he was starting to have different poses in his six man sets with those british greniders. by the way Damien i only need three fench cav from the napoleonic series and i believe you have twowa88c and wa88d the hussar officer in light blue
and the bugler. i would love to purchase those from you or trade you let me know thanks

That is definitely Set WA90: "UP AND AT EM" Coldstream Guards. Officer and 4 Men Charging + 1 Casualty. I had this Set. Very nice it was too.

I'd like to thank Marshal Ney for going definitive on this.

Does anybody know which font Trophy used for their labels? is it New Times Roman?

Kindest regards,

Smendy
