A Libyan farmer complains to the advancing Aussie (16th Bde, 6th Div.) and British Armoured (7th RTR & 11th Hussars) units to get off his road as they advance toward BardiaHoward's Pic's 1.jpgHoward's Pic's 2.jpgHoward's Pic's 3.jpgHoward's Pic's 4.jpg

Bardia fell after a two day attack by Aussies and British Armour. Aussie losses 130 KIA & 326 WIA but with the result of 40,000 POWs and huge amounts of stores and equipment captured including many M13 Italian Tanks which were repainted with Aussie Kangaroo and used by the 6th Div. Cavalry Regt.

Howard

Looks great - any chance of a view from the side to get a better look at the backdrop?

My great uncle was killed at Bardia so it has some added significance.

It has some significance for Brett as well - I see one semester of University fees in this single photograph!

Heck of a setup Howard and great collection too :smile2:

Would be great if K & C would remake the Matilda. Sure it would be a big hit.

Really nice collection of 8th Army equipment. I think the British desert camo vehicles are the best looking things that KC does. -- Al

WOW! Nice collection of armor and figures Howard. Photos, backdrop and figures look nice. Thanks for showing us your collection. John

Impressive. But it does explain why the Brits were so short of vehicles early in the desert war ^&grin

Howard,
Fantastic display.

If Wayne does turn up make sure Security frisks him. Otherwise when you are not looking a German minefield might pop up in your display !!!

Regards
Brett

There's no need for Howard to worry Brett, he has plenty of mine sweepers to clean up any nasty suprises that might be left behind by Wayne's Germans! ^&grin
