Historical movies,sequels,remakes (1 Viewer)

True Romance was a great little movie but very violent.Christian Slater,Patrica Arquette,James Gandofini were all in it.Gary Oldman played a great part as a drug pusher but wasn't in it very long.Check it out.

The cast of this movie is a who's who of Hollywood. Christopher Walken as the mobster and Dennis Hopper as Slater's father had a great scene together. -- lancer

I also would like to see any film that covers the FIW which apart from Mohicans and Northwest Passage has been practically ignored by Hollywood-Not sure whether or not it would have general appeal but Mohicans did well at the box-office and there are other "ADULT" cinema-goers out there who will still be willing to buy a ticket but only if the movies change from the continual diet of Wolverines/Watchmen/Spiders/Bats/Iron/Transformers/Hulks and X-Men :(:(:(

And although not historical I hope they continue with the Bourne series-I note one is scheduled for 2011 but nothing confirmed. Ludlum's trilogy have all been filmed but Eric Lustbader has written a further four-Legacy; Betrayal; Sanction and Deception which of course the Ludlum fans absolutely hate-as you might expect. But I have read them all finding them to be easy holiday reads and enjoyable with The Bourne Legacy in particular providing a near perfect story/script for a movie. Here's hoping as long as they dont put Bourne into a shiny blue and red costume to attract the kids

I second you on the FIW. Here's a few more I would like to see:

- A big-budget WWI film
- A Boxer Rebellion movie (with a bigger scope than "55 Days at Peking")
- Something on the Congo Crisis and Mike Hoare (a shame they couldn't have done this before with either Robert Shaw or Richard Burton)
- A movie about William Walker
- Sgt. Rock with Tommy Lee Jones in the lead (They're gonna keep on making comic book films, so why not this one?)
- A movie about the genesis of the SAS
- a series of films covering the Napoleonic Wars (you can't cram it all into one flick)
- a Bay of Pigs movie
- a film about the 1948 Arab-Israeli War (Otto Preminger apparently was going to adapt "Genesis 1948" but never did)
- Red Storm Rising (a big US-USSR-UK-German joint production)

C'mon Hollywood - you can't keep on churning out teen vampire flicks forever!!!
