Blinking Heck Robin, they're waiting an awful amount of time going by the clock. And what's Sgt Wilson doing with the rug, is it a flying carpet then ? That would account for the time flying by then ^&grin^&grin^&grin

Ok in this episode 'Royal Train', Captain Mainwaring is expecting the King to arrive by train after reading secret orders only to be opened at the station. He than asks Wilson to provide a Red carpet, but all Wilson could find on such short notice was this rug, which Mainwaring is far from being impressed with.
I have all 80 episodes and know them by heart, plus several books with loads of info and 60 radio versions which are on CD and played often in my car. Have the two movie length films, but struggle to like the one made several years ago, just not the same without the original characters. So yea fairly hooked on this series. Hoping Andy will complete the last few characters as he indicated to me previously. Thanks for looking Steve and also to all my forum friends. Robin.
Ps I know the show is corny on today's standards, but heaps of people still enjoy it.

Ah, thought you might of been making up your own story there Robin :wink2:
Yep still watch the occasional episode myself. Not seen the newer film, but remember the old one with fond memories.

Robin,

I like your great touch of realism in the pic with the MG and RAF pilot, he's PARKED on the RIGHT hand side of the road, like the can do in UK, while the horse and cart is passing him and travelling on the LEFT side !!!

I bet the US guys think he's driving ????? :) :)

Nice one Robin.
All looked perfectly a natural scene to me, takes someone like John to point these things out as not being legal elsewhere in the world.

Appreciate your comments Chris. Your education is not complete if you have not seen any of the 80 episodes of 'Dads Army'. It is on YouTube, which is an easy option if it is available in your neck of the woods. Classic comedy series. Robin.

Robin,
Absolutely fabulous world that you’ve created and share with us.:salute::
