How Does K&C Decide on Cost??? (1 Viewer)

well, I think if you got to know us, you would find that most Scots indeed do love a bit of verbal.....'specially those who've lived in the Greater Glasgow Area for any given length of time.....

I was in Scotland last year. Did a "wee bit 'o golfing", places like Carnoustie, Turnberry, and of course, good OLD St Andrews. Flew in and out of Glascow, didnt see much of it, but did enjoy a couple of days in Edinburough.

Mostly, you Scots seemed a mirthful bunch, except maybe those unfortunate caddies who had to carry my bag...

As the one who originiated this thread I would like to thank those like Canadian Samurai who support the right for consumers to have information on the products they purchase. A SMART consumer will take in every piece of info he can to determine how to spend his/her money. Everything is open for discussion, if someone is offended it often means they have something to hide.

Spick,
You asked a perfectly reasonable question, in a perfectly reasonable manner IMO. It didn't read to me as if you were suggesting anything such as inappropriate business practices and although things got "interesting" for a while, its kinda calmed down now as these discussions usually do. I can't honestly see how anyone could be offended by the posts in this thread. If so, then they must be incredibly thin-skinned IMO.
CS went spinning off into orbit as he's prone to do - and that's okay. As I've previously stated, as far as I'm concerned he has every right to express his opinions, that's what this forum is for. For me personally, I would say that I'm mainly in the same camp as Rutledge, but I also tend to agree with some of what CS said in his posts. (He said through gritted teeth).
As you say, everything is open for discussion, and that's the way it ought to be :):)

Yeah, if there was an Olympic event for "Moaning" those caddies would ensure we get the Gold Medal every 4 years....:D:D

We are at that part of teh title fight now where the two super heavy weights are so exhausted and blood spattered that they hold onto each other rather than hit. Both are too exhausted to land any killer punches. They shuffle around the ring like drunk men. What will the ref do. Will the trainers throw in the towel. Sorry this is not boxing it it is more like tag team wrestling.:D:D

LOL Damian,
Surely your not suggesting that our resident Eco-Warrior would lower himself to pull on a pair of boxing gloves? Perish the thought....:D I'll lay odds he wouldn't even watch a boxing match on the TV - (Shudder). Wrestling might be a different story of course. :D:D:D:D

There is a pretty heavy moderator presence here. I dont want to take undue credit for the apparent "civility" ;)

I think CS and I reached a reasonable truce point. The same does NOT hold true for my other "antogonists".

Hmmm...interesting post Rutledge. Holds out a vague promise for future entertainment. Keep it up mate and you might end up being my "New Best Friend".
:):):)
Oh, and my cousin Varney the Vampyre sends his regards to CS. I was relatively gentle with you during our last wee spat on this forum my katana wielding PC buddy. The same may NOT hold true should it become necessary - just some free advice like, for your future reference.:rolleyes:

What was the original argument about then?

Someone asked how come a wee splash of blue paint made the cammo'd LRDG Chevy $2 more expensive than the uncammo'd version.
Amazing what that simple question led to, innit????:confused::cool::cool::)

Okay, maybe I did oversimplify the issue Rut, but I do think the $2 discrepency was the BASIC question that was asked. I honestly didn't see much that was disrespectful in Spick's original post. Maybe I'm just a wee tad less "sensitive" than some of our fellow posters on this forum.

oooops....Heid's foot is attached to mouth again. The $2 issue wasn't the BASIC question asked. The LRDG Chevy's made an appearance later in the thread. Andy responded to Spicks original question.
Sooooorrrrreeeeee.....!!!! :eek::eek:

Could be. However, regards myself, Ive never been accused of being overly sensitive, and absolutely loathe "PC-ness".

That said, I dont embrace rudeness or gratuitous disrespect. Not that that was the intention of the questioner, of course. ;)

For me, it all boiled down to a single word: "How". Really I guess every company would answer that question thusly:

"Pricing is based on the actual cost of production, adding on an overhead allocation, along with financing costs, and then supplemented by a reasonable but healthy profit margin."

There, that should suffice from here henceforth! :D:D:D:D

How do you get this to appear in the quote box:
