Not including the wooden warbirds, how many poly warbirds have been released? Im thinking about getting them since the me262 is being released next month.

Yes, the forerunner of the current series. They were $99 but I don't remember the year they came out or how many were made. Do they ever show up on e-bay?

I'm pretty sure there will be a new Me109 released in 2011 and I think there may be a new Corsair as well?

Just for info there were two versions of the Hurricane,I think its the first thats pretty rare now.

I know of one place that still has one or two of the original Hurricane - but yes, they have been scarce for a while.

Other than a Me109, Corsair, Stuka and P-47, has there been much talk about any other aircraft in 2011?

Well we already know the Typhoon is coming too.

I'm sure there will be the odd surprise in 2011, these Polystone aircraft have really taken off if you'll pardon the pun, I'm sure we will see something that people weren't expecting, K&C are very good at doing that

Don't forget the Afrika Crops BF109 (great plane) and Rommel's Desert Taxi (not so great, imo).

On a different point I wonder when you see how sturdy these things are and at how big the 262 will be if a move into light bombers will be next Junkers 88 Blenheim Mosquito I am sure these could be made in polystone etc.

The production of these Polystone Warbirds very much depends on the size of the aircraft, as Andy was explaining to me in London that even a small size increase can make a difference in price, so once you get past fighter size the price will creep up.

Especially the Mozzie!. Myself I can't wait to get my hands on the Typhoon, I think this could be the release of the year along with the Jagdtiger.

For me they are the iconic aircraft of WWII Spit, hurricane, mosquito,typhoon and Lancaster. I can't think of better aircraft IMO. Now, I know we won't see a lanc in polystone but, all the rest are done and those not, surely are feasable.. Surely??

Mind, I would like to see a Lysander released as its a great looking aircraft

I would guess it would be too large for any kind of reasonable pricing, shipping, or display. The 111 is no small aircraft to make in the heavy polystone, although it would be quite impressive. JMO. -- Al

Well it sure would be big and not cheap either, I don't think they will be making polystone bombers for a while. But you never know!

Yes, they do show up on ebay and the Me is not cheap. They came out in the 2001 time frame and dealers tell me that when they retired they couldn't give them away. How times have changed

So far all the polystone Warbirds have been very sturdy.

A polystone Owl seems unlikely right now.

Figarti has tried to make one in 1:30 and failed, but the last time Rick spoke about it he said they were definitely going to release one.

Was the Typhoon one of the Warbirds Andy promised for 2011?

To my knowledge the Figarti Owl has not failed. Back in the summer Rick said they had conquered a weight distribution problem. Why it has not been released yet I cannot say but perhaps all their energy has been devoted to getting the train line out.
