I can't believe that I will once again miss this year's show !

Word came from my client KMW - that representatives from Germany Army High Command will be in Washington and I will be expected to arrange and take care of their Congressional part of their trip. Also my client KMW will be holding meetings with them on the Friday / Saturday in Washington (right before the actual OTSN show on sunday).

This of course kills my chance to join all of you at the K&C Dinner and Figarti Lunch - as well as all going to all the rooms for room trading - UGH!

September is simply not a good month for me to leave Capitol Hill.

We need to move the date of this show - LOL

Oh well, have fun boys and girls - I will be thinking of you having fun in Chicago....again! :mad:
 
Good idea mate move the date to October and then the show to AUSTRALIA,well like the rest of us that cant go watch in unveil on here.
 
That's too bad Ron - hopefully you will be able to go next year.

I think Ron's idea to move the date of the show is excellent. We should also move the location.:D Say, let's move it to, oh, I dunno, Washington DC, our nations capital. Oh, what the heck, keep the same date but make the move to DC. That should work nicely. Toy soldiers and sightseeing. What a combo. Anybody agree?:D -- Al

I think my good mate Wayne has hit the nail right on the head. Lets move the Show to the Land Downunder. I know it would save me 22 hours travelling time and a lot of dollars which could be well spent on new and retired sets.
Think about it. Australia is the fastest growing country for new collectors and the Kiwis and the guys from Singapore would come down.
Well, we can only dream:D:D:D

Oh, Terry, there's so much more to Chicago than the hotel! You have to go out and get a Portillo's "Chicago style" hot dog :) That's the real reason I go to the show.

Ron,

You just have to convince the German generals that a popular form of American entertainment is to charter a jet and opo out to Chicago for a wee visit! Tell them that there's a large Polish population- they will certainly want to reconoiter for an invasion :)

KMW huh? what are they flogging to you may I ask- the Canadian Leopard is drawing a lot of looks in Afghanistan....perhaps a repalcement for the Abrams?

There was a new, I believe, Top Tanks on the History International channel, with reviews by top tank people. The Abrams came in second, to the top tank, the Leopard... Interesting hour.
 
Count me in as one who is not going to make it this year unfortunately. Continued problems for my son adjusting to college. I'm sure I will make it next year but I only have one son :)
 
This is the 3rd year in a row I have had my reservations done early and have had to cancel for various reasons:(, so hopefully, maybe, possibly make it there next year:)...Sammy

I am very sorry you must cancel your plans. I had looked forward to seeing and visiting with you at the show. However, I completely understand the necessity of remaining close to home.
