If you could get Andy to Make One Special Item for You . . . (2 Viewers)

...I’m delighted to say that several of the key items requested are not only on my own list but are already at the sculpting stage ... Now, that’s the easy part…the tantalizing bit is exactly which ideas are the ones we’re working on …

I liked the idea of Resistance fighters and non-soldier Combatants.

French resistance, all well and good, but where's the cute French chick on the bike who likes to wreck things?

THAAAAANK YOU ANDY!!!!:) :) :)

Resistance is coming! And indeed the French chick on the bike is really a must.
As another forummember always repeats: "I love that stuff!"

Rick,

If you are not the one in the robe, exactly who is he and where is this ceremony taking place? He must be someone important to receive such an escort.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

P.S. You look very dignified carrying that sword! Who would know that beneath that distinguished uniform lies a boyish toy soldier collector and expert modeler?

Pat.
I'm still a kid at heart! No expert by any stretch but thanks none the less.

The photo was taken in the hangar bay of the USS John F. Kennedy while in port in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia two weeks before the start of the Gulf War.

The Arab was (maybe still is) the Provincial Governor of a large part of Saudi Arabia and was the senior ranking member of the Saudi government present for the sunset parade the US put on for them. The Officer walking behind us was the Captain of the Ship.

Semper Fi!

Rick,

Thanks for the information. That must have been an interesting event during an interesting time!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Forget the tank transporter for a minute Steve, what about the large landing craft partially depicted in front of it! Is that the prototype of an LCT?

Hi Loius

Hope you are well.:)

Mike at KC UK sells wooden boats like this, made in Wales I think, they come in three sizes I think, one will fit a sherman and stuart, one a sherman and there is a smaller infantry version. I bought all three from Mike and have some pics in the photo album I think.

If this is not the same it is similar.

Best wishes

Kevin

Back in San Francisco!!! Kevin is right, the landing craft is the K&C UK one.:)

I would like a model of the Bridge at Arnhem and all the original arnhem sets to match.

And since it's covered on at least three other threads, how about...oh, I don't know....well.... some British Paras? Action poses? Please?:)

Simon

Oh, and a bridge. A big one. Really big. The sort of 'big' that divorces are made of.

I thank you.

Simon

I also would like to see a Merville bridge and a set of British paratroopers crossing and manouvring it.. Maybe also a few Polish paras like the famous Polish Airborne general?? Sculpts of the French Resistance looks great.. Surely will get in my collection when they get on te market..

Regards,

Ranger
