I have just completed painting a bust of Ike (1944). Resin casting by Verlinden from well over 20 years ago. Artist oils over an Acrylic undercoat. I post it here as I am considering adding some K&C WWII D-Day figures (example in photo below) around the base of the bust as a way to liven up the display. Plan would be to do this for the MFCA show at Valley Forge this coming May. What do you think??

Superb paint job and I think the smaller figures in a display with the bust is a very good idea. Just looks great. -- Al

Great job painting. I like the idea of the figure with it. Nice.

Great painting Walt. I think busts and flats are the hardest figures to paint. This will make a nice display. Thanks for showing your work. John

Great work...I like the idea of mixing scale, I often add original WWII items to my KC dioramas, it gives another dimention and done carefully can tell a story that a single item cannot.

Wow... That IKE bust looks great. Having the smaller size figures around it will only
enhance the display. Nice !!!!!!:smile2::smile2:

Great looking display, Walt. I love the scale contrasts. You're idea is right along the lines of what Jim Hillestead recommends for an interesting display. Go for it.
