I'm back. (1 Viewer)

Mike,

Welcome back! I'm glad to hear your flood insurance covered everything, and it all turned out O.K. The diorama looks great, as does the battering ram. Great work!:cool:

Thanks for the welcome back, very nice of you. I pulled out the King and Country figures today and played with them some. The battering ram I made is a good scale fit. I'm making plans to start on that diorama very soon. I bought 26 figures and have to find a place to erect the table.

I need a bigger house, ha-ha.

Michael

LOL okay 4,000 @ $2.50 = $10,000...........now let me see.... I am about $9995.00 short :D

Great battering ram also and looking forward to seeing this dio take shape also.

Okay Scott, you and me are working on a "shoestring" budget here. We're going to have to improvise. Don't worry, I don't think the table is big enough for our big plans,

Michael

Michael,

I lived in Beaumont, Texas for a couple of years (I was Chief Judge Joe J. Fisher's 55th Law Clerk), and have visited Galveston. Its a lovely Island with a heckuva a history for weather related hardships. I'm glad to see you folks are still hanging tough. Good luck with your Crusaders diorama. My 3 year old son loves my Crusader Castle set up, and I just ordered him a couple of more K&C mounted knights, as he is learning to respect the figures and treat them gently, so I wanted to reward him.

Yep I had some of those so I recognized one of the dead Zulu's and the one crawling with a spear in the same shot. it's fairly easy to recognize their stands too, I thought some of the 24th foot had Hinchcliffe stands.

Dead Zulus.

Nothing special here.

Just a massive slaughter.

Not trying to revive an old thread, just wasn't sure where to post these.

I've added 60 new dead Zulus (with shields and weapons).

Figured if I had to paint them, somebodys got to look at them. I did my part.

It looks better now with more dead Zulus.

Joe told me, "I could never have enough dead Zulus", so it's not overkill yet, no pun intended.

I bought the JJ Snow Shoes collection.
Have not done anything with it yet.
I'll open a new thread and get started soon.
They look good, here is a quick peek.

Mike,
I think you need to fill in the ranks a little more:D The Oskarsberg Terrace is missing sharpshooters to the north!
Great stuff. Is this a permanant setup?

Mike, thanks, nothing is permanant, ,that's just how it's set up today.

At this precise moment, the Shiyane Hill is unguarded, but still protected, my office wall has their flank, Michael.

Wow Mike that is a hum dinger of a zulu display. Looks great and thanks for the pics.

WOW MIKE! Thats quite the set up you,ve got there. I Love those large set up like that, it gives you a feel of what it must have been like but only a few thousand zulus short.

Being privy to the fact that you'd finsihed painting the 60 newly arrvived dead zulu warriors I was hoping to see how soon it would be before they made an appearance and happy to see it didn't take long. Along with enjoing the photos Michael it been fun picking out cetain figures and determining who made them and if they were originals or knock offs. Thanks Michael....The Lt.

Outstanding set up Michael!
Must have been a labourious task getting them painted up, but definately worth it. Ta for the pics.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. As bad as I paint, ya'll are really generous with the praise. :)

Mike,
What happens when you knock one over? Do they end up spelling something out when all toppled over?
No children or Pets or Mike has a mycardial infarction!

Looking at the layout, I think it might spell out, 'Stop throwing those blaady spears', but I could be wrong....
