Hi all,
I thought I would start a thread for any dioramas I make or pictures I have, kind of like Villagehorse and some other guys have. Hopefully I will be able to post more. My collection is growing, and I am running out of space. Here are some pictures of my TS room.

Thanks all!
I try to focus on the Penninsula with most of my dioramas, because it has the most leeway. The mountain pass diorama is meant to have a French artillery train being ambushed by both 95th rifles and Partisans (you can see where my little band of peasants is right now- they are Britains and K&C Alamo, Britains pirates, Jenkins F&I and actual partisans (I hope to yet the rest), and a conversion). My two French limbers are currently being worked on, so I tried this instead.
My next project is a giant 3 by 4 foot Spanish thing. I based it off all of the great cork work that I have seen (especially PanzerAce). It will have part of a slightly decayed Spanish Villa (and chapel), complete with bell tower, and surrounded by a makeshift redoubt. The whole thing will be surrounded by woods, complete with a stream and bridge. I want to fit all my 95th, Partisans, RFA, French Light Infantry, And French Line Infantry. I may even add Nasseurs on the French side.

Can't wait to see your next project. Doing a great job on your dios.

Great looking stuff! Must be a joy to walk into that room after a long day and just soak it all in. {sm4}

Some things I painted for gifts (the flag is from a motorcycle was was a repair job- the Buddha is part of a desk ornament and is unfinished):

Me and my reenacting group with a cannon we fired that was cast my Paul Revere:

Some seek peeks of upcoming dioramas. There is a WWI Trench system (built for sale) and a very large Spanish farm/forest/mountain pass (built for me). There is one more thing I am building, but that is a secret. One hint- it is 4 ft long and is made of wood and foam board- any guesses?

Lastly, the Roman diorama I did populated by Conte Romans at Nicholas Cameron's both at the Valley Forge Show.

This dioramas is for sale to the person wit the best offer- comparable sizes (and my last large Sudan fort diorama) go for $300-500, but I will let it go for significantly less. Just PM me if interested.

After a long college & ROTC hiatus, here are some pictures of what I have been up to.

Here are some pictures of the gunboat:

Here are some of the Legion Etranger Fort:

Lastly, some figures from a display at my old military school- I believe they are (post?) ACW militia:

On a personal note-
Here of some of a full AWI American artillery battery with fusiliers (of which I am one of):

And some figures of the same unit:

Hi Sandor,
Very nice indeed the various dioramas that you have built....From Roman forts to WW1! I really liked the ' Napoleon period ones ' especially the French ambush of the British cavalry in the pass and the frontal assult to the artillery piece in a down town setting......along the many others ....But have a special interest in French Foreign Legion and the Sudan...so was drawn to your Legion fort and the River Nile Project instantly...congratulations....:salute::

Many thanks! I don't know why, but it seems my threads never get much attention.... :rolleyes2:^&grin
Anyway, I'm glad you like the Napoleon stuff, as that is my real passion. Right now I am trying to inventory that part of my collection, so it is all lines up by set. Naps probably account for 7/8 of the stuff or more, maybe around 90%- I think I have 500-700 total.
I like the town scenes as well, but I am sad that I have not done an actual diorama with a base yet for the many more buildings I have but have not shone pictures of. I have huge slabs of foam laid out in the basement, ready to build a large town dio (waiting on more buildings are roads to fill in cracks) and a large forest dio (waiting for a manor house which I will scratch build sometime before I die.) When I finish the boat, I will make a large riverside dio for both boats and a dock. Hell, maybe I will make a full fort (again- I built one and sold it.)

Really like your collection, but opposite to what I collect, although I am dabbling in Waterloo due to the anniversary next year. Just shows never say never, because the last 4 years have been saying I will not collect Napoleonics due to the scale of the battles and obvious cost to duplicate. Just finished buying the JG Hougoumont South wall buildings, very very nice. Guessing there will be push from all manufacturers this year and next with the Waterloo theme. No doubt this will sit well with you Sandor. Robin.

Very nice figures and set-up. I like the pictures, too, especially the background.

While I have been at college this summer doing research, I did get a week at home a while back. In that time, I started work on this farm house. It is almost ready to be painted and put on its base! The tower will have brick accents and a few windows outlined in brick, the roof will have some sort of covering, the porch will have supports, and the central door will have a proper door. The figure is just for scale, though it really doesn't help much, as the building looks bigger than it actually is. I plan on using it for Napoleonic stuff of some type.

Regards,
Sandor

On another note, my gunboat is nearing completion. all of the basic structures are now nominally complete except for the smoke stack and signal flag pole. Once those are in, I will go back and add the first level of basic details, like vents, cleats, guns, the wheel, anchors, etc..... I will then touch up the paint and weather the ship. Then I will add the last details like life preservers, door handles, interior furniture, etc....
