Greetings Froggers...

I recently completed a couple of diorama boards made to display JJD figures at the toy soldier shows over the next few months for Crown Military Miniatures. I have a couple more on the work table and welcome any suggestions for new JJD dioramas or ranges that have not yet been displayed.

Crown's website's gallery now features many of my favourite JJD dioramas (none of them my own, but several by fellow Treefroggers).

Hope you like them...

These are from the Battle of Chippawa range...British Foot Artillery battery and limber, heavily inspired by Michael Miller's excellent artillery emplacements.

Both dioramas are outstanding and tell a story well. Great camera angles too!

Thanks for all the positive feedback, folks...

Plank weathering is easy...prime with flat black and when you are ready to paint your "wood" colour, water it down heavily (I use my dirty paint water - which is already dingy - to water down a medium tan) then paint on quickly and sloppily - but one plank at a time...very easy with a nice effect.

As far as the backdrops go, I can't take too much credit for them, I just find good wallpaper online that appeals to me and have it printed.

Here's the tricky bit...the stone wall: Take real stones, glue them all together, then prime it and paint it to look like real stone...I just shook my head after that little effort!

The weathering on the planking is wonderful. Any hints?

Both of those diorama pieces are outstanding! Excellent work, all around.

Both are great. What does the road sign read on the Royal Artillery set up?
