Mark...

on John's website it says...

The first piece which will be available this September as the JJD MEMBERSHIP FIGURE 2009, will also be an interesting personality piece for collectors of "The Raid On St. Francis" series.
The figure could also be used as an officer in the Virginia Provincial Regiment, and added to the Monongahela displays.
The membership for this figure will be valid until AUGUST 31st 2010.

I guess we are about due for an announcement in the next few months...

Seems like a B of M Collector's Club theme so far...hahahaha...

Jenkins, Halkett, Scarouyady and Dunbar.

I wonder if he's going to try to stick with celebrity figures and if he's gonna stick with B of M stuff.

My nomination for a club figure is Capt. Donald MacDonald of the Royal Ecossois at Culloden. These were Scots in the French service - dark blue uniforms with red cuffs and collars. MacDonald later became a member of Fraser's Highlanders and played an important role at Quebec: "his ability to speak French and his knowledge of French military routines first allowed Wolfe's flotilla of boats to descend the St. Lawrence without being intercepted, and then later on the cliff top, he bluffed his way into a French picquet post and so secured the head of the vital Foulon road."

BTW: if you collect the Jacobite line you should get the "Culloden Moor 1746" book from Osprey. It is excellent.

I like that idea. A club figure of Capt. MacDonald, Royal Ecossois followed by some sets of his Company as well as some Irish Pickets would help round out the Jacobite side at Culloden. I believe those units tried to delay the advance of British dragoons in the closing stages of the battle.

I love the use of BOM figures so far for the Collector's Club sets. Keep them coming!

So, how many sets do you guys think there will be of CC Set #3? This might be the first set to top 500. I think there will be more of this set than the first two.

I think it will be 400-450 range.I think there are about 350-400 Jenkins collectors if you take into account multiples.
Mark

I'm with Mark...

William Dunbar...

will not break 500 in my opinion...

I thought Scaorouyady might...he seems like a very versatile figure for French/Indian collectors...I ordered two of them...

William Dunbar (not Thomas Dunbar)...I don't think he will do 500 pre-orders.

Pretty shrewd guesses. The final number is........456.
Its on the JJD website now.

So we have had: 376, 431 and now 456.

Unless the club suddenly attracts lots of new members. I reckon we'll see future collectors club figures in the 450 region (obviously depending on the figure).

John has to be pleased...his numbers keep going up...maybe the 500 mark is around the corner...

You might be right Mike as more people discover JJD.I think there is more people coming into the hobby as there seems to be more people viewing this forum lately.

Right now there are 94 people viewing and only 34 are members.

400-500 is quite encouraging methinks. Not a bad production run at all. I'm sure John is pleased the way its going.

By the way, there's a WI.2 set on ebay that has had 21 bids and is at $213.5. Still two days left.
Wonder how many of that set were produced!

John has to be elated with the way he structured his CC releases by pre-order...

the beauty of it is...there is no left over inventory...

nothing on the shelf that didn't sell...

no waste...

a seller's dream...

to step up to the plate and sell 450 figures with no waste is a homerun...

When is #2 supposed to be released and looking forward to see what #4 is.

If I'm not mistaken....

the first CC set was offered in August of 2009...

I may be wrong...

so we should have one more CC release before August of 2010...

#2 is scheduled for shipping in early April...as per his website...

Not complaining at all, but I'm slightly confused by the collectors club figures. If the 2010 figure is available in April, does the membership last for 12 months (to March 2011) or 9 (to Dec 2010)? The 2009 figure was from Sept 2009 to Aug 2010 I thought. So is there an overlap period, or do you have to buy the 2010 figure to buy anything between April-Aug or the 2009 figure? or doesn't it matter? Or is it just me?

2010 membership runs out Dec.31st.2010 was suppose to start in January.I think the reason 2009 started in Sept. was to get the club started.

Thanks Mark.

So: 2009 runs from Sept 2009 to Aug 2010
2010 runs from Oct 2010 to Dec 2010
2011 runs from Jan 2011 to Dec 2011

So in fact 2010 only valid for 3 months

I think 2010 runs from now until the end of Dec.It's running concurrently with 2009.by 2011 everything will even out.I think John got 2009 started later than he wanted it to.It says in April's release thread that is John's aim to start the clubs membership every January.

Does this mean there will be three more Clubs sets announced this year or does this include the ones we already know about (e.g. Dunbar)?

"There will be 2 more special Club sets available before August

There will be 1 more 19th Century Special Club set available in October/November."
