JJD product (1 Viewer)

It's a beauty! Anything John produces is first class. Right now, however, I am "tanked" out and
concentrating on Medieval, Ancient Rome and Napoleonics.....
With the exception of the Israeli-Arab Wars.

According to Alex (Firebat), the scale will be 1/30, and it will be a Jagpanther G1(Late Version). The Jag will have, opening doors and hatches, interior detail, engine detail, and removable/interchangeable side panels.

The Jagdpanther ("hunting panther") was a tank destroyer built by Germany during World War II based on the chassis of the Panther tank. It enteredservice late in the war (1944) and saw service on the Eastern and Western Fronts. The Jagdpanther combined the very powerful 8.8 cm KwK 43 cannon of
the Tiger II and the characteristically excellent armor and suspension of the Panther chassis

It was manned by a crew of five: a driver, radio-operator, commander, gunner and a loader. Figures will be available separately at a later date.

Photos look great!!! I missed out on the Honor Bound Jag I shan't miss out on this one, I still find it as ironic as Hell the only tank I suggested to John was a Jagdpanther.

Lucky you, Sammy ^&grin

Sending a suggestion/inquiry in the morning and seeing it coming in the afternoon.
Can't get better than that, can it?

That will be a nice addition to your collection :wink2:

Actually I mistakenly quoted my own private message..I did ask him that I'd love to see a Tiger, Jadgpanther, so maybe later today we'll see the Tiger :):)

Just to clarify this was not on Johns radar when I spoke to him many moons ago...

John is a personal friend if mine so I pestered him incessantly for at least a year.

Once I got the go ahead, over a year ago, I assembled a team of the best German AFV talents on the Hobby Bunker forum ......

We worked for months on research......Then when all of the data was in, I put it in the hands of Hunter Rose and he did the final collaboration with John....

This was my goal from day one in this hobby to take astute collectors and join forces with a open minded Manufacturer to produce a new breed of WWII products.....A dream realized.

The experience was amazing, it was incredible to be part of the process which is complex....... I cant wait for the next project....Which I am already bugging him about.

I'm glad you "pestered" to dip into the waters of WWII, I'm sure once John sees the demand for such a nice looking vehicle(even just in prototype form) he may want to take another dip later on.

My favourite German tank, never thought I would see it from John. Looking forward to seeing it all painted up. Robin.

I hope there is an ambush paint scheme done. I would love to pair up a JJD JP in ambush scheme with my HB JP in ambush. It's just such a neat color scheme. -- Al

Agree the Ambush camo would be striking on this tank, they go hand in hand. Robin.

Wow, that is really a must have.
I'm glad that I wait with buying a Jagdpanther!

I'm not a WWII collector, I don't know about tanks, but that model does look like a masterpiece to me.
Going by the reaction here from forum members, I believe that John has just opened a new section in his offerings, that will be much appreciated by the WWII enthusiasts.

This is a surprise but I like the rest are happy that John has ventured back into WW2. I will be putting in an order for one of these for sure regardless of what paint scheme it comes out in! The detail is amazing (including the interior detail) and the price at 250 pounds seems reasonable for a tank of this quality.

Looks like a well detailed and accurate 1/30 scale JP, and agree it would look great in Ambush camo, which is also my favorite armor coloration. Not sure if I will buy it as my collection is mostly 1/28 sized gear and I already have the Collectors Showcase JP in Ambush. I know it's not as finely detailed as the new JJD version, but I like it. Hopefully JJD are in a position to issue further WW2 vehicles in 1/30 scale to carryon from where Figarti dropped the ball.

Looks good I just hope he dirties it up and makes it look like it has been in action not spotless but very impressive.
