My back went out and I couldn't join John Jenkins and Rich Schuster at the Show in Philadelphia as we had planned. As I read the thread about the show, and John's magnificent new StuG III, I have to admit to being a bit depressed and envious. I cannot tell you how happy I was when John and Rich dropped by my home yesterday. Before we went to lunch at Bryant & Cooper, a local steakhouse John loves, John and Rich had a look at my collection, when John presented me with the amazing new prototype for his Stug III. John also brought me the side skirts for my JJD Jagdpanther, which I had bought in the secondary market without the side skirts. John remains one of the best and most generous people in our hobby. Here are a couple of shots Rich took:

Re: JOhn Jenkins dropped by yesterday . . .

that is very cool of both of you...

Wow Louis, what a special visitor to have to your amazing collection! I'm sure you were able to abstract from your back pain for a while! Great to see the pictures! Happy to know that the prototype of what will be another iconic JJ product found the most prestigious place it could have to be displayed!

Congrats Louis . . . Customer oriented and generous doe not even begin to define John . . .

After spending 2 1/2 days with John at MFCA I couldn't agree more. There are only a couple of manufactures that truly go out of their way for there customers and John is right there, a wonderful and dedicated fellow, both to the Toy Solder world and his customers.

Sorry to hear about your back problem, Louis ... I feel your pain {sm2} .... literally ... as I see a Chiropractor twice a month myself.

What a great surprise!

John is truly one of my favorite people in the hobby. We met long ago when he first came to Louis in NYC and everytime I see him is like seeing an old friend again with time truly not moving! Amazing fellow!
