These are beauties and look as though they will blend nicely with the WB offerings this year. Photo from aujj65

Randy, these are very nice and will be painted as the Gordons. Here is another view.

These are some very good sculpts...lots of detail...the faces look extraordinarily nice...very sleek and refined...John's skills really seem to be improving...I'm afraid I may have to get these...

I'm sure I will be adding these to my existing JJD Sudan pieces.

This looks like 4 sets...

4 piece "wounded"...
2 piece "firing" (1 standing/1 kneeling)...
2 piece set "at the ready"...
2 piece set "thrusting"...

I especially like the wounded figures....

I bet they are going to look really nice in their kilts...

UK BOD said on the London Show thread...

The Khartoum dio was excellent and seemed very good value for money at £200. I believe it was sold earlier on in the morning.

I'm not sure what that translates in US dollars...but that is a large diorama...

The Highlanders look superb. Can't wait for 'em. Looking forward to some JJD Hadendoa Warriors too.
Who created the palace display for the Gordon's last stand set? Awesome!

A little less than $300, which looks like a steal.

there's a finished painted figure of one of John's new sudan figures. go to 'show and show reports', then 'london show 5th december 2009 photo's and reports'... its on the second page. its compared to the new britains sudan range.... interesting discussion between the 2 figures....

Those figures look very much unlike JJD's normal sculpting style. I wonder if he has been changing his style for this new series... They look great, though!

Great animation and poses. Can't wait to see them in living color and for sale.:D -- al

Here is the photo Andy referred to. However, this particular sculpt doesn't seem to be anything like the ones shown today, which are clearly superior and better than anything I've seen for that kind of range.

I'm not sure...but I think it was created by TMT...TMTERRAIN...located in the UK and a distributor of JJD....I know their website said they were going to be at the London Show...their website is pretty cool on the custom work...he has some small Jenkin's dios on there...and they look very nice...look at his Fort Henry.

I don't know Papa...

I'm gonna pin John down and ask him how far he plans to go with this range before I take the plunge...

I understood it was going to be a very small endevaour...and not sure I want to buy a limited set series...I like large scale collections and would like at least a complete battle and not just a vignette if I got into them...

I really do like them (the prototypes)...the faces seem really nice...I know John is stepping up his quality...and whatever I collect...I'm betting nickles to donuts that I won't leave John...;)
