Pretty sweet, IMO. Ought to look great on a stand.

And Pete is correct as to its origin, a Macchi 72 floatplane:

Busy day all! Just couldn't pin down that elusive Tim Tyler from Troops of Time . . .
Found Myszka at Sierra with their French Casualty Figures - Photo 'bomb' man I apologize but your name has slipped my mind!

Many of you are collecting from this WWI series and bets are we will see these in dioramas by MikeMiller1955, Mestell and also recently NZGARY.

Think I have more wounded French soldiers than fit men, still like the theme John has chosen. Robin.

That sounds about right for the state of the French Army by late 1918. All part of John's constant eye for detail and accuracy.:wink2: -- Al

. . . . . and just when you thought it couldn't get any better . . . .
:smile2: Mike

ah yes, these will fit together nicely. Robin.

Three down, five to go........
As the wounded Poilu's were in the Sierra room, looks like the answer was the Battle of Amiens, not Loos (oh well, not complaining).
Just guessing, but I wonder if there will be a Mack AC Bulldog truck in the Minuteman room?

Someone must have been reading my mind this AM! I did find George . . .

The "Bulldog" haulers are legendary workhorses. Landed in a good room??

The 2 engineer figures are based on photographs supplied by Mike Estell of this grandfather. If you can find him (yet another Treasure Hunt within the Treasure Hunt!) I bet you can learn more from him!

Thanks Julie,
I don't suppose you managed to get a picture of the engineer figures?

Pete

I can find Tim Tyler . . . . and a safe bet will be down near the bar!

I will pay George another visit in a bit

Figure pics from George - had to drop off a few bottles of Febreeze for him as well - I will let him or LaRRy tell that story if they choose!

But on to Matt at Hobby Bunker - the Arrow will point you in the right direction

A big smile

This larger canoe can hold more figures to bring added details to your dioramas!

You're killing me Julie . . . . This is the first OTSN show I have had to miss since I started attending many years ago. I have kept this one a secret since I didn't want to ruin any surprises that John wanted to spring on us. I have a huge collection of my Grandfather's WWI memorabilia including lots of photos he took while in France 1917-1918. I have shared many of these photos with John for his research. In return, John indicated that he was developing the Mack Truck and the two figures based on a photo of my grandfather standing with one of his mates. He was hoping to have the prototypes ready in time for Chicago. Now I am really missing not being there . . . . PFC Chester William Wagner, Company F, 17th RR Engineer Battalion . . . . . Obviously a must have for me . . . .
